First 2 volumes good, but after that...

It was pretty much your standard cliche shoujo. Regardless, I really enjoyed the first couple of volumes and I found the main character really cute and I was cheering her on. However, After
she sorted out her true feelings, The plot took a really stupid turn. Then in another 2 volumes, the plot was worked out magically in about 3 pages and the book was over, no epilogue or anything and romance was never really brought to a satisfying conclusion. If there could of been just one
more chapter for just the main girl and the main guy, then this work might of been salvaged.

It's not an amazing plot twist, it was just flat out dumb.
Yuki had been living with Hiro as his girlfriend for 2 years.
Hiro was even going to quit school so he could start working in
order to take better care of her. She was also insecure and
jealous when Hiro got a female friend.

Then, in the hospital ouiji takes to her for the first time in
two years and apologizes about his behavior 2 years ago and now
they are back together. I MEAN COME ON, you just don't live with
a guy who cares so much for you he's going to quit school in order
to work and then get back with an old boyfriend you haven't seen in
years because he apologize about being spineless last time they
were together.

Really? I mean, hiro could of lived with her and still took care of
her rather they were romantically involved or not. And if they really
had no real feelings for each other, then why ruin your life. Just a dumb, dumb, dumb, plot.

Then to make it even worse, there is no real satisfying conclusion
between hiro and the main girl, that's what really rubbed me the wrong
way the most.

Amazing Twister

O to H is a interesting manga in that it seems just like every other shoujo, like the beginning Vampire Knight, where the girl likes the guy, the popular guy likes her back and the other guy friend-zoned in the middle. All the flowery cutesy, " I can't believe he likes me!" goodiness. But then you learn that there is only a seem between the "like" and "her." The protagonist grows strong not weaker. Friend zoned friends are not firmly restricted and one variable twister of a character creeps in the story chapters after the arrival of the first twist. The series works in a kind of reverse typical shoujo in some aspects. That is to say, keep an open mind while reading: not all personality are written in stone. One of the great things about this is that the grinch turned prince doesn't apply here. If you give it a try for nothing but the hinted twist, I suggest you read past chapter three. If you like a good asian drama, I also recommend. It is not dark or overly light, but gives the reader just enough angst and hope to draw a variety of passionate emotions.

Art- Average, so 5 (as has already been mentioned, not unique and nothing special)
Character Development- 7 (mostly owing to female MC)
Story- 8 (on the genre of shoujo scales)

Overall- 8 Recommended

you can say it is a nice manga I kinda like the heroine but I have that Ouji Guy I mean I do not even kno if he love her or not
I really want her to end up with hero but the problem is that he has a girlfriend
so I will wait for the next chapters and see what will happen

The Twist...

If it weren't for the comment below I wouldn't have read this because the summary and the picture over all looks typical and... bland... so yeah I probably would have skip on this series. But the "unexpected turn of events thing" got me really interested that perhaps this is like "Arisa", looking like a typical shoujo with an interesting plot underneath. So I gave it a try...

I finish reading the 1st chapter and as I expected it was a typical shoujo, but I still kept on reading until I started to wonder did I miss the unexpected twist in the plot? So maybe for the other person it was a unique turn of events but for me it was expected... However, I still kept on reading because by this time I already like one of the characters and would like to see how it turned out until BAM! The twist hit me hard, because my mind set was already on another cliche shoujo.

Now I really have high hopes for this manga, the author could make this into an amazing series, like the reviewer before me said, I could see a lot of potential and I hope the authors will used them.

So to anyone who had read a lot of shoujo and now rarely reads them (because of typical plot and characters, although you still like shoujo) like me, give this one a try, it's not one of the best but it might make you interested XD

I really like the heroine now, especially her hairstyle, she feels different, I love her short hair :D

EDIT: So yeah, I just finish reading this series, like the comment above, I agree, the first two volumes was interesting and then it downhill from there. There also the unbelievable conclusion that made me questions the characters sincerity in their romantic feeling. Except the heroine, the three's feelings felt fake in the end so much for the awesome twist at the beginning.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Since this is a story where the readers gets to vote who the heroines end up with, I have a feeling the author was going for Ouji since he was leading in the poll in the later chapters but then Hiro ultimately won by a small margin so she has no choice but to shove HiroxHana together in the last minute. I'm happy that the two ended up together but the way their romance concluded did satisfy me.
