Description
From Broccoli: Adell is the lone human being in a world of humans-turned-demons, made by Overlord Zenon. It's Adell's task - and burden - to defeat Zenon and restore his friends and family to their normal selves.
But summoning an Overlord is not easy.
When Adell tries to call Zenon, he ends up with his daughter, Rozalin. Now, bound by contract, Adell promises to take Rozalin back to her father.
However, it will take much more than blind courage to defeat her all-powerful father and save the world.
The artist and writer of the Disgaea manga seemed to have matured intensely since their first attempt (which was more of a fan-fodder thing, in my opinion). The art and storytelling are excellent and I recommend this book not only to fans, but also to anyone looking for an enjoyable read. This series also overcame the first's problem with condensing the entire game into a single volume (there are already two volumes out) and created a beautiful amount of original content not seen in games.
Also, it's a good treat for Flonne/Laharl fans. Edit: I gave it a 10/10 because I can honestly find no flaws in its presentation. That said, I am a fan of the original games and may have had my perspective skewed.
If you are a fan of the franchise I can't recommend this enough. It starts out with the story that ties the two games together and then it starts following the 2nd game. The art is very nice and the writing and gags are absolutly hilarious.
