Description
From Tokyopop:
Rinne is a girl who can see and exorcise ghosts (usually with a paper fan). When the school punk saves her from getting hit by a truck, but ends up in a coma himself, she, and his disembodied spirit must defend his prone body from being possessed by this, that, and the other local spirits. Unfortunately, she fails in her task, and an ancient playboy takes over the punk’s body, leaving him to inhabit a pink stuffed monkey. Hilarity ensues.
This series was filled with so many moments that made me laugh. I know that it could have turned out better or had a fourth volume, however, I am satisfied with the fact that all the characters got what they truly needed. It was twists and turns at every page that's for sure! I loved the drawings and the handsome faces! The monkey character was a great addition! XD
You really should try reading it, even if just for the jokes. Romance was weak in this book, but it is a shoujo. It wasn't supposed to be anything more than fluffy, but it did it's job because I smiled at the end.
While I can say I definitely liked this manga, I have to add that it was a little disappointing. I liked the setting and the build up and thought there would be plenty of kawaii opportunities. But really the manga went by the most plain, most shallow route. The story had no depth and for shoujo it was kind of light. I DID finish the series, hoping and hoping that there might be some character developement but it ended quite unsatisfyingly. Yes I liked the book, but had room for lots of improvement.
This is a really funny manga. I really liked the way the mangaka drew their emotions. It really brings out the humor. As for the romance, it feels shallow. But it's still acceptable.
I recommend this if you're looking for something funny to read! =D
I don't know. Let's just say it was good but it wasn't the mangaka's best work. I did laugh a lot, mostly concerning the monkey though. When it says "Hilarity ensues" I don't think it was a joke.
It was okay. Not too amazing and not too bad, and had little development. I didnt get the feeling that Masaharu was actually in love with Rinne and I dont like how slutty Keiju was. My favorite part is when Masa went Kei-Kei I wanna play. SO CUTE, I suggest this to any newbies hitting the books.
I just really can't shake the feeling that there was something really off about the story... Even if I ignore how shallow Rinne was I should have still thought the plot was kinda humorous but I just didn't like it. The biggest problem was probably the lack of any type of real development. All of the characters emotions felt so shallow and the only character I thought had any true emotions and intelligence was Masaharu, and he spent almost the entire story as a stuffed monkey. This manga could have been so much better if it was a little more serious and really got into the characters emotions...too much comedy too little substance.
I can't believe the rating for this manga is so high! She's just.. too shallow...way too shallow that it's annoying and ridiculous. like.. 8.3/10? seriously? wow.. i'm shocked. But in my opinion, it wasn't that great. The girl is shallow as fck and it was just so stupid..........
THAT WAS AMAZING!!! like holy shiznit it was awesome. yeah i guess you could say the girl is kinda of shallow but they make that part of her character so she can over come it which she totally does and she really isent that shallow the whole thing is just put in there to add to the comedy and the plot, which by the way is amazing. loved it! it was very original and i enjoyed reading it. the series wasent to long. it wasent draged on forever and it wasent to short the ending wasent rushed or it dident just seemingly suddenly end. because i loved it so much i would have been happy with one more chapter but idk if one more chapter would have worked for the story line or not. it was all put together very well and i enjoyed reading every second of it. when the summuary says 'Hilarity ensues.' it really ment it. i laughed and i cried. this has got to be one of my fav mangas its really worth a read.
It's not excellent in my opinion. I like Power better but this one is good enough. I only wish that there's more to the story - more depth (character wise and plot wise)...more chapters. I think there are too many fillers, which are fun to read, and that the only chapters worth reading are 4 and 5 since that's when the actual plot takes place.
