From MangaHelpers:

Ichijo Kazuya thought that he was murdered, but when he came to, he was back in his high school days. He lived his entire life as a playboy and had had countless sexual encounters with women until that fateful day that he was killed. He realizes that his murderer was his old high school friend Tanaka Masaki who was jealous of Kazuya’s relationships and his built up anger eventually exploded.

Taken back 15 years into his past, it seems that he has been given a second chance at life and given a chance to make different choices. He decides that the way to prevent his eventual demise is to make sure Masaki is more successful with girls and loses his virginity before Kazuya. But fate seems to be steering Kazuya towards the path of his previous life and keeps introducing the same girls he had sexual encounters with. [vyc]

Would have been outstanding if not for the pacing

On the pro side, i don't have much to add : the second chance plot device, if not very original, doesn't go against the development of the drama but instead gently supports it ; I thought the protagonists were not overdoing things when interacting, especially Yoshino's reactions to Kasuya's nosiness.
It's hard to say why exactly, but to me this title felt a lot like Onani Master Kurosawa (the art style, the anti-romantic climax, the resolution ?).

It is just a pity that the pacing, and the length of Ore Ga Doutei were a bit off given the story. I would have appreciated if the author had had more space and time to smoothen out the dynamics of the characters' feelings (essentially how they come to love / stop loving one another). I also found the whole thing about protecting one's virginity a bit awkward, at least in the beginning. And, oh yes,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the random stabbing thug coming out of nowhere in the end, please that's too cheap

NB : i changed the genre from "shounen" from "seinen". I checked other sites and "similar" titles and it's 50-50, so please bear with it or feel free to reset it if you think this is wrong.

i love time travel manga. i think this is done in a good way where the protagonist try as hard as he can to change his future. this reminds me of playing VN and trying to avoid bad ending. there is no convoluted plot or mind blowing things happening, but what makes this manga great for me is the constant fear of death the protagonist have, that make me also feel very affected by the expressions of his murderer.

... The absolute last moment when

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Ichijou almost died saving Yoshino.

Yeah, it was foreshadowed all throughout the story, but given everything that was changed in the present it came right out of left field. It was ultimately a contrived attempt at injecting last-minute drama that wasn't even necessary.

Otherwise this is a decent read. While some say it could've been longer I think the length is just sufficient, although a volume's worth of chapters in between could probably smoothen events and the interactions between characters.

There have been far, far worse rushed endings I have read, but this could have used more development. I don't mean that this manga should have adopted the strategy of The World God Only Knows and gone for 100+ chapters, but it could have added more depth in its story with maybe 10 or 12. All in all, though, it's a fine, unique story that's worth a read.

As the subject line says - loved it.
Characters more or less decent expect for Masaki. The part of him going from best friend to a murderer could be done better, because I'm not buying it.
About the story, liked it a lot. Kazuya's actions after reincarnation seem rather out of place though, when it gets revealed, that
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
he knew Yoshino's time and place of death.
You can justify it by his memories of the future life being hazy after time leap, but I'm not buying it as well. It could have been done better. Lastly, author could explore his reasons for redemption a bit more.
Drawings were okay. Liked how Kazuya's conversations with his consciousness were done - simple yet effective. Characters old and young selves - pretty much the same, wishing they weren’t.
The manga is rather short, easy to go through in one go.
Rating doesn't reflect anything, I just like to give 10 left and right because... why not?

Whats starts out as an interesting story hust kind of fizzes out after a while. Nothing really happens at all in this manga after the. Big set-up. There were several things I hoped would happen but then it suddenly ends. I endup up being disapointed. The main character is also too apathathetic about everything which is a little puzzeling since he was getting a 2nd shot at life.

What has been already made clear by other comments is that this really is an anti-harem manga (as in Girls Saurus). The main hero wants to get away from the girls while the girls are really attracted to the hero.

Thing is this manga does it really well (at least till the last translated chapter (tenth)). The main hero is a strong character. Due to the age experience he knows how to deal with people and the manga uses it very well. There are no childish moves by him, except, perhaps, arguably his will to protect himself from his best friend?s potential homicide.
It kind of reminds me of Onani Master Kurosawa as it was also the case of the main hero trying to fix his wrongs.
The manga as well establishes really well the consequence-result part, i.e., what would have gone wrong if the hero would have gone the wrong way. The result of what is that the hero's actions can truly be looked upon with empathy, despite the introduction of this manga that would make the readers look upon the hero with pity/repulsion.

P.S. As there are only ten chapters translated, this manga by far doesn't deserve a ten, but as there seems just so much potential in character development, I give this mark a bonus in hopes that it will continue in this way.

Hm, just read all the chapters available right now (up to 10) and I like it. The setting is novel enough and the main character goes through developments and revelations that I did not expect when I initially picked this one up. The art is nice as well, but so far the story is what makes it for me. The MC is no wuss and is quite quick to catch on to things, which is refreshing.

behind the weird premise the principle of averting clichés
thought i get the feeling that it has similarities to games (bad end -> restart) for than a school setting manga
thought the grudge of his friend looks pathetic but my intuition tell me its not what it appears to be
thought I guess he will have to pay more attention to his friends and love interest he will finally learn why got killed

It's humourous because it directly opposite of harem manga. Because he's convinced that he will be killed in future if he lose virginity before his best friend, man try with all his might to avoid doing it with his numerous high school conquest. Of course, as a future playboy lived in his HS body, he got enough instinct to act right and cause them to fall in his lap. The laugh is when he scramble out of the way.

EDIT: Vistrans dropped the series? Aaaaww~
