From Seven Seas:

Dance in the Vampire Bund: The Memories of Sledge Hammer is a two-volume interlude between Dance in the Vampire Bundís first fourteen volume story arc and the upcoming second part of the series, which will launch in 2014. The Memories of Sledge Hammer delves into the past to look at the doomed love affair of one of the Vampire Bundís most deadly operatives.

Three months have passed since Princess Mina, queen of all vampires, has recaptured the Bund. The damage inflicted to vampire/human relations runs deep, but a peaceful postwar restoration is now underway.

Yet appearances can be deceiving. Somebody is trying to kill government liaison Reiko Gotoh, but her lycanthrope bodyguard, Seiji Hama, is nowhere to be found. The mystery of Hamaís whereabouts can only be solved by examining the past, when the ill-fated couple first met. The past may be the key to saving Gotoh in the presentóand to the future of the Vampire Bund itself!

Too much word

so I skipped some of it and just reading what I think is important (^ o ^);;

The art is clean and nice, the plot is okay. I haven't even read the prequel, but I think I get the main plot. but somehow... I wonder why the scene feel so cliche to me? I'm okay with cliche-things, but it makes me laugh at the wrong situation ^^

I think I'll try to read from beginning again and read those I skipped.

Possibly good story, but poor translation

And it's that kind of poor translation that at first seems ALMOST it sucks you in. Then you find out the truth when you actually try to follow the dialogue, and just about every sentence reveals itself as confusing, unidiomatic, ungrammatical, unclear, etc.

This messiness is especially bad in the beginning, because this story is a continuation of the plot of the long, complex original "Dance in the Vampire Bund"; so there's a lot of background info to be filled in at the outset here. In light of the poor English used, what is being conveyed is very hard to understand!

I realize that here in the land of free scanlation we don't normally point out bad translating, but this is so bad that SOMEONE has to make note of it. Moderators, take note before trashing this comment.

Sad to see a part of this great series messed up!
