Enjoyable by blackbuddha on August 27th, 2009, 4:05am

Okay, I've finished in one go and really enjoyed it. I guess deep down I'm somewhat corny and actually, I've been reading a lof of josei and shoujo lately.

So, this manga is simple to its core: from the art, the characters to the plot. Everything is predictable and you almost see every cliche in the shoujo type. But isn't true that the simplest thing hits you the most? A typical Japanese young girl is sold to a geisha house, got a crush on the boy next door and dreaming of being with him. It's like a stereotype! However, as the author kept the story short, only in 2 volumes, you can clearly say the characters' development and the progress of story. There isn't any wishy-washy moment but very causual problems. In total, the manga gives out a feeling of slice of life.

I might be biased since I read this while remembering the good times of me and my girlfriend and how things should have turned to be. But all in all, give this manga try and you won't regret its simplicity and completion.

Romance by jackblack901 on May 27th, 2009, 12:53am

Historical theme especially war time is always the best theme for a romance story.

It doesnt break any new ground but there are only 2 vol so it's fine.
Art is great, the tattoo was drew really nice, love it ^^

Simple but heart warming story by chulian1819 on April 10th, 2009, 1:09pm

Love the way the story is tell, will the details of the time line, and how the love bettewn the characters develops in a steady way without been slow but sometines a bit fast (i prefer fast).

Love all the kimonos and the tattos details, great custome drawing.

A short but complete story, one of the few mangas that dares to tell the life stile of japan during the WW2 era.

Didnt put a 10 becauso some things coulb be tell in a better way and coudl length the story a little, and its predictable ending.

Great relax manga to read with a thender loving story

It's pretty and its a very good read. Not groundbreaking in anyway, but still an amazing read. It's perfect for when you get sick of the typical shoujo plots
