Scene: The School Rooftop The hero (me, Junpei Manaka!) sneaks up to the roof to see the sunset. When he opens the door, he startles a mysterious beauty. She panics and runs away, but not before Junpei has caught sight of her adorable strawberry print panties...in EXTREME close-up. With that vision forever burned into his memory, Junpei embarks on a quest to find the girl, and the panties, of his dreams!

This is the manga that got me hooked!
I absolutely LOVE Kawashita Mizuki's drawings and her sense of timing with her stories. The character's facial expressions really make me know what they're feeling (Including making me laugh at the silly faces) and the backgrounds aren't too cluttered and they're not so simple as seem cartoonish. The stories are not too rushed. And I'm sure her editors had something to do with those few moments they did feel a bit rushed. You really get to know her characters well. And yes, some people complain that it seems to go really slow sometimes... well, doesn't that happen in YOUR life too? Where you're given extra time to get things done but you don't take advantage of that time and do other things thinking you've got plenty of time to do it later. Then the time is past and life rushes you along once again. I have read a lot of different kinds of manga and I have to say that Kawashita Mizuki is my ALL-TIME favorite mangaka! I don't like yaoi or shounen-ai but because "Sora no Seibun" was written by her I will read it.
Sometimes too long... but recommended!
Well as is said, it's long and the story could really be shorter. But just arriving at the end was worth it... the ending is very nice and you have really no clue which girl he picks untill vol. 17-18 :] RECOMMENDED!
Truly the best shoujo I've ever read
I normally read shounen, action filled, bloody manga but this manga was awsome, I just finished reading it a few days ago and I want to read it again and again and again I even cried at the end
It took three days to finish and seriously for another couple of days I was way too moved to even continue my ordinary life. The end leaves a bitter taste because although Manaka follows his heart (and that should make the ending happy) personally I found it the saddest I have ever seen.

My first love! very moving!!
This story made me into a manga addict! A lot of people may not like this manga but for me it is perfect.. the ending is very moving(the whole story too), sad but happy at the same time.. all the spices of a great story is there, comedy, ecchi, drama, character development, romance, ego-boosting harem of just the bests of the girls, really awesome!!!!
After all the comments how bad the ending is I already didn`t want to read this manga, but the ending is great ! So far the best endig I`ve ever read in a shonen/romance manga. The manga isn`t that great but the ending saved it for me.
I liked this manga
To reply to magnum44, if you dont like reading long manga, why did you continue reading this one? I mean.. out of the 19 volumes you said about 12 were meaningless. Even if that is true, why didnt you just give up about you realized you just read about 10 pointless volumes straight?
I agree at some points the manga got a bit 'meh' and annoying, but overall it was great. I personally give it a 9.6 (so round it off to a 10).
I want my money back
This manga isn't TOO bad, but it really isn't very good either, which is why I'm giving it a 7 (6 being for me the passing grade). It could have been a 9 if it hadn't dragged on and on and ON for so long! Seriously, it's 19 volumes long, and only about 7 of those volumes (the first 3 and the last 4, plus a few chapters in the middle) are worth your effort. And I would have added an extra point if the ending wouldn't have been so lame.
See, the manga has comedy, romance, drama and ecchi content... but none of it is all that great. The comedy is mostly slapstick, or it comes from characters being in embarrassing situations (just how many times can these girls fall to the ground and expose their panties, or land with their butt or breasts in the main character's face?? I hope you really like that "gag" because you'll be seeing it A LOT). Same goes for the ecchi bits, which are never too ecchi anyways, if that's what you want to read this manga for. And the romance... well, there isnt't really such a thing here, basically because the protagonist is a spineless wimp (even compared to other male main characters in the harem genre, which is already saying a lot). All the relationships here are one-sided; the girls like the main guy, who just lets himself be dragged along by them. Oh, and for the drama, again there's barely such a thing here. Don't even know why I mentioned it.
The one thing this manga excels at is its art. From characters to backgrounds to expressions, everything is top notch. Do yourself a favour and look at the pretty pictures.
As I said before, about two thirds of this manga (the middle part) should have been cut. Nothing really happens there. The plot doesn't move. The feelings between the characters don't really change, or, if they do, it's two steps forwards and one and a half steps backwards. It's just frustrating, really. Try this: read volumes 1 through 3 and then pick the story up at volume 16. Aside from a couple of side characters, you'll be able to understand it entirely. The main characters themselves will have barely evolved in terms of their feelings for each other. So what's the point?
It would be forgivable for the story to drag on like this if it was really funny or really touching or even really exciting, but it isn't. Conversely, it would be forgivable for the story to be this mediocre if it hadn't been so bloody long (IT JUST WOULDN'T FINISH!). But this combination of mediocrity and absurd length it just... agh! Maybe I'm just spoiled for having read so many other mangas that manage this in a much better way, but that's the problem... there are a lot of other mangas out there that do what Ichigo 100% does in a much better way, so there's really no reason to bother with it.
Finally, both the excesive length and the mediocre plot could have been forgiven if the ending had made it all worth your trouble, but it doesn't. Without spoiling it for you, since this is a harem manga, you can guess what the end is about. However, the author missed the opportunity to make this part really touching as it should have been. And I'm not saying that the particular decisions made by the characters are to blame, but it's just not told in a way that makes me care (in other words, I'm not upset because my favorite characters didn't end together; it just wasn't touching enough, it wasn't a satisfying closure for 19 volumes of manga). For all it matters, they could have made their decisions by flipping coins on-panel, and it would have carried about the same emotional weight. I've read a number of romance and harem mangas, and this is probably the less fulfilling ending in all of them.
In short, give it a shot if you got nothing better to do, but if you reach volume 5 and begin to wonder if you should quit or bear with it, just skip to volume 16 and get it over with.
This manga took forever to finish. It took me a month to finish. I enjoy every minute of it. You probably think it was a waste of time. But I don't care what you think. Anyway this manga is funny and takes forever to finish. If you have alot time on your hand. Read this manga. If you don't. Make time. Some people might not like this manga but I do. If you want to make a movie some day. Read this. It can give some good pointers. How to get started and how to make a good plot. I love to talk more about this since the story is long. But I stop here. This manga gets an 8.
My 2 Cents
Well I understand why he chose "her" (trying not to say too much to give away story), but It seems the author did'nt manage to change the readers opinion to that character very well. I was kinda disappointed at the end but it made logical sense. Highly recomended
