When Haruna Nagashima was in junior high her life consisted of playing softball and reading comics. But now that she's going to high school, Haruna decides to put all of her energy towards getting a boyfriend and having the high school romance of a lifetime. To help in her quest, she enlists cute upperclassman Yoh Komiyama to coach her as she eschews her jock tendencies and turns herself into the kind of girl who can catch a guy. Yoh agrees, with one catch: Haruna had better not fall for him!

koukou debut makes the saying, "anyone can find love" believable xDD. i love how the story progresses.. it's like falling in love myself. the drawing is top-notch, the characters are lovable and the humor isn't that bad (i laughed quite a lot while reading it). totally recommend this to all girls ^^ (still wondering if a guy reads this)
one of the best!
This Manga is awesome!! Cant wait till volume 5, im so excited, i wanna no wat happens next in their relationship!!! =9
I am gonna agree with everyone else here... very funny, pretty drawings. I identify with Haruna on being clumsy and not knowing what is fashionable, though I would never try as hard as she does. All of it unbelieveable, and predictable, but do not let that stop you.
Sure is something you want to read more and more, a really fun and enjoyable manga ^^
I like this Manga very much. I want to read other works written by Kawahara Kazue. A lot of Japanease Girls like this Manga.
Great shoujo romance
High school romances are a dime a dozen, but once in a while, a great one comes along and stands above the rest. Koukou Debut is one of those greats.
It's got the romance, and the comedy, and the pleasant art, but best of all, it's got heart and characters you can really care about. It's a real treat to read about how Haruna and Yoh's genuine friendship blossom into romance - their X-mas date was one of the most touching dates ever written in shoujo. The mangaka treats her characters with respect, but still manages to make you laugh at their misadventures.
In short, it's an awesome manga. It's only a matter of time before its fandom increases.
I find myself relating to Haruna's character when it comes to being a novice with anything related with guys or being in a relationship, so that's an automatic 10+ =) But really though, the story is great, morals/lessons are learned in a not-so-corny way and the way things are developing between the characters just makes you want to sigh~ haha Definitely recommended to Shoujo-manga fans out there!!!
2 thumbs up!
A good shoujo manga
This one it's a good shoujo manga, the relatiosnhip between the main chraracters develops from the point of a strange friendship into a beautiful and unespected love. Kawahara Kazune it's an excelent artist and this manga shows how much improvement she had experience in her draw skills over the recent years since her past works, Yoh it's a very masculine and inteligent guy and Haruna it's a inocent and sometimes naive girl, both are falling in love and both ignore that that was happening lol, if you like shoujo with a comic touch and deep meaning tenderness (not corny scenes but a romantic scenery when it's needed) you sure will enjoy this reading (and fell in love too -like Haruna- with Yoh.... he's so sensual).
