Rikitaro is a musician whose dream is to become a rock star just like Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison, but at the age of 27 that dream is fading away rapidly.
Ooishi is a 3 time world boxing champion who recently retired and is now in the entertainment world, shooting a boxing reality show.
These two unlikeliest of people cross paths one day, but both of them think nothing of it until weeks later. Rikitaro is given one last shot by a record label to sign a deal but before that, they need him to get into better shape so that he is easier to sell. He stumbles upon a boxing gym which also happens to be the same gym Ooishi is filming his show.
As fate’s wheels start to turn, neither man realizes that they will work together to train the best boxer ever, even better than Ooishi himself.

Gotta Love a Manga with an Actual Adult Protagonist

If you remember the anime "Black Heaven"---and if you liked it for having a grown up lead----this might be a manga for you. There are a bunch of dark-uber serious manga titles that have grown up leads, but the lighter ones usually treat characters as "old" when they turn 20.

It feels like a slice of life and an adventure story all at once. As bull3thole said, it's good and realistic so far. This series is one of the top ten I look forward to reading every week. Thank you, Endless Abyss.

The pacing of this as a sports manga isn't too rushed or too slow so far. The main character's atypical of what I usually see in sports manga - It's not that big of a spoiler.

he's a grown man! Normally I'd expect some youngster teen or young adult to take on this sort of storyline, but no, on top of being towards the older end of his prime, this guy...

Well, the tags say it all.
It's a good read so far. Go for it.
Sport mangas are always good breaks from josei/shoujo.
Edit: This series makes me go [Awwww!] at times too biggrin
Edit2: The realism. The realism! biggrin biggrin biggrin It's not flighty!
I suppose in my book, realism goes down as badass.

I just stumbled across this as I was looking at the release list. With a title like RRR, I decided to see what it was. After reading the synopsis I went and found the first volume. This manga is like most sports manga out there. Its filled with a whole lot of heart. It may be slow to start but, once it gets to the boxing aspects you just can't stop reading.

The beginning was good and realistic so far. Can't believe it took this long for me to read this manga and that i am the only one to comment on this manga. Its a good manga so far, but the last couple of chapters are getting boring for me though. i hope gets better because so far he is only training to be a boxer. For the people who is reading this manga, the category tag is kind of a spoiler for the manga.

It is obvious that the sister will die because the category tag is like a spoiler for the manga.

Btw thanks for the scanlation group Endless Abyss for picking up this manga.
