Description
Mai was constantly picked on in Junior High because of the way she looked. To change all that, she walks into High School with a new look and a new attitude. As she was getting used to school, she falls for her classmate, Sen. But Sen's best friend, Yaezou, tells her to back off because Sen was his! But, knowing Mai, this doesn't stop her.

I quite like this manga hehe.. I kinda knew the ending because I read the comments on here. >.<; But at some points in the manga I still felt that it would turn out the way other typical shoujos did. But it didn't, and that's why I like it. Art is good, of course. And the characters are likable too. Despite the main girl always crying and all, I still find her likable, she's strong in her own way.
I just wish we get to see more development in the characters' relationship.. But overall, it's pretty good.

I really liked this one because the twist and the main theme are original yet really entertaining. I felt like i could relate to her feelings soooo much, and for this it has 10. The art work is also really pretty ;-)
This one really similar to Unrequitted Love Venus. But the different the blond guy really deeply in love with Sen. I thought Mai gonna end up with Sen. Common he has already kiss her and then he leaves her just like that. I'm gonna be so angry if i'm being treated like that. So it's make me mad LOL. But it's just a manga anyway. So i suggest 4 u who want to read it, be sure u're not against homo hahaha. Bye

the fact that she liked the guy and he liked another girl den she went for the gay guy was just.. so quick O.O. it was lyk "yah, i couldn't get him so ill go for you" kinda thing. same with the gay guy. The gay guy is bisexual now i guess =/. iunnoe it was relli messed up.
cha i saw that coming and i was SO friggin happy it did the ending was great and this mangaka is good at feel good manga's just like Aishiteruzu baby wich was just as good this manga was kool and an amazing read the charcters weren't as sterotypical... the main character was always crying but she was strong 2 so i liked her more than most shojo grls (however i have no problem with whiney shojo grls like most ppl do ..prolly cuz there r alot of sappy grls like that at my school {dies a lil on the inside])

very unexpected twist.
the beginning turned me off slightly (thus, minus point) cause it looked like the VERY typical shoujo 'things' -- i mean 'plot' (of chasing the guy around and in the end u find out that he luved her all. along.!! wow T_T).
but as i said. i luv this manga cause its different
it is totally not the usual though.
the obvious flaw in Atashi wa Bambi is that the beginning could hav been done better. Though, i think that makes the rest of the manga contrast more..like the beginning is bad so the rest looks really good? xD?
but anyway,,,...this is definitely worth a read.

(so far, i haven't read a shoujo manga with the main girl fighting against a homo guy as the main theme for like 1+1/2 volumes -- until the usual "otha girl" shows up)
it is totally not the usual though.

yeap i really did not expect this but is quite a good manga, in fact i was just laughing at how cute the art work was sometimes. I really enjoyed the story too, wished it was a bit longer though.
to me its cute...i wish there was kinda a small sequel talking about wut happend to Mai and Yaezou...lol
