Although its been through a its rough patches it seems with the latest chapter 206 its improving a great deal. Yes the artwork has changed dramtically BUT BIG DEAL, it looks a lot better and cleaner in the lastest chapters since 200. Get over it. I've been a fan for quite a long time and I have comptemplated in dropping this series but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did! One of the strongest points of this manga is its PLOT and it went a bit all over the place for a time. However, its becoming better recently, it somewhat feels like the old D.gray-man again, well at least to me.

I wouldn't listen to some who have not properly read the manga all the way through to lastest updates. I'm not saying its absouletly fantastic again BUT its shows strong signs of its potential.

Really, if you are willing to give it a chance, read it! but if you are tuned off that easily by some things like the art or certain parts of the plot don't bother. Sometimes it will go on the a short hiatus but its because of the author's health but she's still doing it!

I'm going to read it until it takes a turn for the worst which I think is still unlikely seeing as its finally picking up again. But if it does, then I will give up on this series but its knowing the right time when to give up. Read until the latest chapters I'd advise you and you decide whether you want to continue it.

It was a real treat back then... When? 2008 and since some time that same year it became crappy little shit so yes, even though I'd like to keep on bearing the pain of the artworks and concepts and characters and blah blah blah... I could not take it anymore. I haven't seen a bit of D-Gray Man ever since, hmmm...

I wasn't expecting much from this manga. The first 3 or 4 volumes were not that great. But I kept on reading and tadaa! It became awesome. I don't know what other people think but in my opinion the art became much better too! D.Gray-man is funny, addictive, exciting, original and inspirational. The plot is great with many twists. The characters are very likable too. I can't get enough after finishing the latest chapter. ^.^

This was one of my favorite manga. It used to be so freaking awesome.

After it went to monthly releases due to some health (?) issues of the mangaka it became a big piece of sh*t. Seriously nowadays I hate it. It went from being a 9/10 to a f-ing 2.5/10.

Seriously read it until it becomes a monthly manga. When you get there stop or continue if you're a fan of having to stop reading a chapter so you can facepalm with the stupidity of certain scenes. The new chapter just came out and it seems to be getting even worse.

R.I.P. Weekly D. Gray-Man You will be missed.

D.Gray-Man is absolutely breathtaking! The futher you advance in the story the more you have to read it! In the begining the story is prety obvious, The Milenium Earl tries to destroy the world with his Akuma's and he Noah clan, but the story becomes much more intense and realistc (I'm serious, the war becomes more like how it could be here in our world if we had such a war).
Hoshino-sensei does the best she can with the art, people are complaining about it but the art is still good and a great part of the characters even look more appealing than before (Tyki~ Road~and yes Allen to~~ =3)! And she has her own unique style, no matter how she draws it! And every mistakes or things she doesn't like in the drawing style is re-drawn/coloured in the Volume's.
She tries to draw as much as possible as she can, being to scare to dissapoint her fans (seriously, she's like Miranda (from this series) and she's so cute!)

This manga is really worth to read! and it's also fun to read her try-out manga's Zone and Continue, you see how those two manga's turns into D.Gray-Man, one of the best manga's ever!!!

Overall: Great art, confusing story line. Lengthy story, and requires a full out attention span and to start from the beginning- and if you're hooked, you'll be stuck on the bandwagon forever... unless you're like the rest of the DGM fans, and find that latest chapters have been... ugh.
The art is amazing. You won't get sick of them, unlike others of which you take one look at a stony face and turn away. By itself, the art is a masterpiece. She has her style, but it changes every so often. It sadly isn't always clean, but that's because of the heavy contrasting of darks and lights. (Not the scanlations bigrazz )
The plot line is like a maze. Just when you think you understand it some, she turns some other way, confusing you further. At first, it goes kind of slow, but it soon picks up the pace with fighting and handsomely drawn action scenes.
The sense of humor that follows certain characters can never leave one's mind. Each character has a different personality, obviously, but it's very simple to keep one separate from another, and very clear in aspects. At least one character will come to your liking.
It isn't ecchi, and it isn't dirty. It's humorous, sometimes with adrenaline pumped action, sometimes with playful way-too-strong-but-won't-kill hits. It isn't some boring love story either, filled with lots of horror sometimes, but not at all scary. It brings out the sad and true morals of life... just sometimes interpreted in different, chaotic ways.
Lately: You can call it a fall-back manga now. It used to be... it the top thirty's? But people just can't keep up anymore. Someone wouldn't understand if you started to read at chapter 200... and now, well, someone wouldn't really enjoy it either.
I would recommend this to someone who likes dark humor and some action fighting, not someone who likes blood on every page.
