It's Shinjo Mayu- What did you expect?
I think if you have a lot of time to kill, you should give this manga a try. When I read it, I went through six volumes in one sitting but of course, like any mangas beyond volume 5 it got repetitive. This was my first real "shoujo/smut" manga so I have fond memories of this series and the anime! I
...It could be worse, right?
I got through the first three volumes before I wanted to off Aine. Stupid, Stupid girl. Great for smut lovers though. Not one of the best the mangaka's works though.
Probably the best Shinjo Mayu series around ^^
a LOT of shinju mayu's work is smutt.... urgh. I wish she'd cut down on the smut a bit. I really liked the storyline for this one. And I don't mind smutt. In this one, it worked fine. ^-^ The art's not the best, but she got a lot better after every chapter. And she did start the series in 1997. I actually quite like Shinjo Mayu's works. For this one, I say go for it! But when you stop liking it... don't read on. Because for this one, I think it's just you like it or you don't. I think it's one of the ones where if you like it, you really, really like it. If you don't, then you just can't stand it D< I for one, really, really liked it. >-< I bought the entire series. It was sooo good. (but I don't have volumes 2 and 9 TT-TT) The ending was satisfying... but not the best// Good though. Not rushed.
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that if you liked the storyline but didn't like how shoujo it was, then try the anime. It has a different feel. And it's not so shoujo. XD I happen to like both the anime and manga. lol.

pretty good manga with quite a bit of smut
this was a good shoujo manga, with all of the entertainment business stuff and the relationship between sakuya and aine. . . i actually kinda felt bad for ralph grazer. oh, and their son is so adorable. xD
It's a fun shoujo, but to be true... I'm getting crazy about the fact there are always problems with Aine XD
Loved it, buying it!
This series is awesome. I have to own them all. I'm just missing volume 2 and I can't wait to get it. Yes it's smutty but that's ok. I don't mind smut. Shinjo Mayu is one of the best mangaka's in my opinion. I love her bishies and Kaikan Phrase is full of them. There are great characters in this manga. I love how almost all the characters' storylines are well developed. I could wish for more on Santa but oh well. I gave it a 10. It keeps me entertained and I can read it all over again and again.
I only read the first four volumes and had to stop it was just to "Over the top typical for me to enjoy." I will admit I'm sometimes a sucker for typical shoujo plots but this shoujo theme was lackluster in my opinion.
My god this manga is the worst one i have ever read. the story lines okay but the "girl" and "guy" are so annoying. the only reason i finished it through was cause of the side characters. The story is so repetitive and it starts to read out as a typical shoujo manga. not recomended to people who expect a plot
Its the best manga ive ever read. no fuss no drills here... and sure not a cliche. the manga storyline is soooo GOOOOODDDD!!! Its not ur typical girl meets celebrity, she herself is a celebrity in her own right way, she a lyricist, with a very good imagination and she's a high school with a pure heart... SAKUYA, is the best anime/ manga MAN ive ever encounter, well, there's mAyu's Gin and Hakuron but, SAKUYA defntly ROCKS and scores 200%!!! I love his way of moves, talks and total arrogance, and yes, MAYU SHINJO sure knows how to CREATE MUSIC VIDEOS, i love all her MV here... she sure is good... the band Lucifer and emu really is cool and i hope that i can buy the Drama CDs... argh!!! its hard here to find em... THANKS MAYU!!!
