Description
Scene: The School Rooftop The hero (me, Junpei Manaka!) sneaks up to the roof to see the sunset. When he opens the door, he startles a mysterious beauty. While reading this manga I really liked the way the characters looked like. Prettiest style I've seen so far. The story was good although the many main characters changes in mind got tireying. But there is one thing RUINING THE WHOLE MANGA - The ending. It felt the WORST to see him deciding for the wrong girl. For me it's even worse than if it had ended with a death and to see them all together again after some years still not taking the right girl finally destroying every little hope left for a Real Happy Ending in the last minute really hurted. I hate the mangaka for this.
I personally consider this ending to be the best of all times. The decision the protagonist took show a lot of maturity. Instead of simply blindly following his idiotic pursual of his "panty girl" actually stops and consider his girlfriend and his own feelings and stood by them.

[edit by mod, Warning: Possible spoilers] Honestly I wanted to avoid this because I herd the ending is horrible after reading it I have to disagree, it starts as a typical harem romance and continues on the way through but what makes the story unique is how it ends, honestly I really don't like who the main character picks in the end and frankly a little bitter about it but I have to say it was a rather interesting surprise I wasn't really expecting from everything I had read beforehand honestly up until the final chapters I kept thinking that he would go back to another character and not the one he chose but I was mistaken. It's a decent love story but the harem brings in far to many characters and honestly I somewhat preferred pairings of side characters then any of the choices for the main one. I also think the harem lasts for far to long, Manaka (the main character) is simply far to indecisive for his own good (like most kids are) but what annoyed me was that despite his insane indecisiveness the girls around him still fall head over heels for him simply because he's a nice guy.
I think the actual pairing at the end could have been developed a lot more because the two fall for each other for rather simple reasons and while their relationship does develop but the end of it all I've got to say I was surpised we were told something more in depth of why they cared for each other. Heck in all honestly the only reason Manaka seems to like his choice is because she's attractive...
In the end despite how much I've ranted about the things I didn't like I did enjoy the manga think it's worth a read to anyone who likes the genre while I don't personally like the ending pair I still give it respect for not only surpising me but also for making the story rather fresh in the second half when I first started thinking it was getting stale.
i guess it was my first harem manga. needless to say i was pretty absorbed in it at the time. artwork is fantastic, it couldnt be stressed enough. if you don't like the story then at least read for the art. it does get loopy but since it was my first at that time, it left an impression on me. i don't feel i liked it enough to look back at it, but i found it to be a pretty good series.
ichigo 100% is no run of the mill harem the characters have good depth and the story is a great growing up story. After having read it it can be a bit dry at some points and the man protagonists indecisiveness can drive you nuts, ill be honest after 12 volmues or so i gave up on ichigo, but a month later i felt like reading it again so picked up again. when it is all said and done, you might scratch your head and go what happened? well you wont be alone im still confused with it but it is a great growing up story and i recommend it, just watch for the dry parts 1 WEEK LATER ah yes the ending, some ppl dont like it or are confused by it well this is my take on it. The girl he ends up with is perfect for him, he doesn't fell akward around her, the have a good history together, she is not afriad to straighten his ass out and there feeling for one another is on a romantic level. let me leave you with this "you never know you'll miss somthing till its gone" with that quote in mind the main character and the girl do sepearte for some time and because of that their feelings went to the next level.
I bought some copies and downloaded the rest wishing, hoping that this series would do something. Alas, not. I felt no sympathy or empathy for the characters. The majority of the characters could not be honest with themselves. I ended up hating almost all of them. I finished this manga when I was under the delusion that I must finish all mangas no matter how bad they are. I don't suffer from that anymore thanks to this one series. Don't waste your life, read something else. BTW, I deleted all files immediately upon completion. I keep the volumes around for when I run out of toilet paper.
I think this the best Harem I ever read. The plot is really good and I can see how the characters develop through out the story. I agree that there are some unnecessary fan service. But hey, who does it serve? Anyway, overall I think it is great
First time I downloaded the first volume, after previously, have read Love Hina, I personally did NOT like the art, obviously, after reading the first chapter, I tired of it, and didn't come back to it, for possibly, a year. When coming back, and by the time, I had read MANY other mangas, and watched a few animes, but Ichigo 100% definetely struck me, and made me read it to the end. Ah, the suspense, it's quite a feeling.
The overall point of this story, I would DEFINETELY give a 10/10. This is one of the most interesting mangas in it's genres. Ah, contrast it to Love Hina, definetly worthy rival, and Ichigo 100% definetely differed, in character basis, and storyline, as the female did not always attack the protagonist every time he peeked, ah, it was quite the different manga.
The art itself, I said at first, I did NOT enjoy it, it, revolted me, unfortunately at first, but I grew used to it, (Anyone read Elfen lied? The Art is quite a shame) and I think it definetely deserves a 10, I've even bothered to continue other series done byKawashita, such as Hatsukoi Limited ( which I read recently, which I defeinetley suggest to be read ).
The ending, an excellent end, but nonetheless, the girl that Junpei choose could definetely be debated. It is unfortunate he chose the girl that the did (read the manga if you want to know who) because I much like the other. I mean, obviously she was a VERY important character, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Also, there IS a fan-made special chapter where Junpei chooses the other girl, to give the satisfaction to all those people who disagreed with his choice. And because of the girl he choose, I can only give it a 8.5/10 for ending.
Overall, this manga deserves to be read, and it definetly deserved a 10.
One question, there are at least 67 votes for 1/10 for Ichigo 100%. If you guys who voted one, ask yourself this, if you didn't like the genre, why on earth did you bother to read it? Or, if you voted one because of the ending, how about you give it a reasonable score?
Kawashita Mizuki truly is amazing on how she delivered such a story. It would seem that you could anticipate how it would all conclude as main character are shown to have grown as the story went yet, even though such initial expectations didn't manifest, it wrung my heart in a pleasing way.
This would probably one of the best one's I have read.

Though the mangaka shared her thoughts on why she decided to conclude it in an unexpected way, I still find it difficult since I wasn't in favor on the girl that Manaka chose.
My own biase about the matter though could also be explained on how I've grown accustomed on other shounen mangas that have pairings that were predictable and even though that those pairings were expected, I still kept on reading them due to the interest on how they would end up together.
With Ichigo 100%, it totally caught me off guard and got me hit severely. I was like stacking my anticipation for the ending that I was expecting yet, it all fell down on me when the very last piece didn't stack properly. Wishing that Manaka and Aya didn't have that romantic misunderstanding, that Manaka wasn't so indecisive on such matters while Aya didn't hesitate and kept all her feelings when it wasn't yet too late. Even though that I have also felt this way for other characters in other mangas with similar genres, the ending just took me by surprise since the other mangas would be concluded with the expected pairings yet, this one simply didn't. (>_< )
However, we have to accept that with Aya's talent on being a writer, she should not be tied to Manaka or else, her talent would not progress and develop. It was bittersweet at the part when Aya declares to Manaka that even though her feelings for him didn't bloom, as much as I wanted them to as well (T_T ), she was happy to have felt those emotions for Manaka who gave her the confidence and motivation to pursue her own dreams.
Oh yeah, obviously, I'm pro-Aya yet, for Nishino, she too should be recognized for her own merits. At first, I only took her lightly as a character that Manaka mistakenly confessed to in the beginning but, as the story went on, she too shared her hardships that we should acknowledge. Manaka's hesitation surely affected Nishino and their relationship, add the fact that she's studying in another high school while being aware that Manaka and her dormant competition are both studying in the same high school. If anyone be put into that same situation, that would probably really stressing as well.
Satsuki on the other hand was honest to her feelings the whole time when she finally realized them yet, Manaka as being kind, both a good trait and a flaw in him, did not want to hurt anyone. Aside from his dreams, she shared a lot of interest with Manaka. The feeling of happiness to have someone with similar interest as well as someone being fond of you surely isn't something easy to let go. I'm not saying that Satsuki shouldn't have fell for Manaka, after all as it is often said, people who trully are in love just fell for those that they grow to love but, the relationship they had obviously contributed to Manaka's indecisions and hesitations.
None the less, aside from the romance, comedy or the ecchi content, it was a good 'coming of age' manga. I mean, they all have their own dreams and everything isn't always as convenient as we'd want them to be.
Well, as always, that's just what I think and others may have different opinions on the matter. In fact there's still some left in me but, I really appreciate being able to let out some of my thoughts on the series. I'm glad that I was able to post them. (^_^ )
This manga started really well. I was blown away by the art. After a while, the story seems to be going around in circles, nothing really happens... just random scenes with girls throwing themselves at the dude. Seems like every other chapter, there's a new girl throwing themselves at him. Does anyone actually like this stuff? Whatever happened to the guy chasing the girl he likes? Granted, he did end up with the girl I predicted/liked, altho I feel she deserves better.
For people who want to actually see the main character work and earn the love of the girl he likes, go read I''s.
