Best Manga Ever
Mayu never dissappoints. I bought all the volumns, yes, it is THAT GOOD. The ending was amazing, a happy ending, and it leaves you wtih a safisfying feeling. The characters were nicely protraited, even the side characters got plot development. Aine and Sakuya is just the perfect pair, tho what they went through is alittle farfetched. Nevertheless, Mayu caputred the essence of people's life. If you look at the bigger picture, the storyline is really touching. Each of the events had its reasons to take place. I love how in the ending tied up perfectly with the beginning.
It's a fast read, entertainning all the way through, no boring parts at all. This seems strictly written for shojo fans. But still even if your not, there shouldn't be any reasons for you to not like it. Of couse there was a lot of smut, but that's just her style. However, as we all know it is usually the smut that brings out a person's true emotions in drawingform, sometime words just won't cut it.
This is something you can come back to read over and over again. It's just amazing written and drawn.
10/10 for Mayu!!! .
Ugh... totally 'patterned' shoujo.
I started this story, and things were fine for around the first 5 volumes, and then I just started getting tired of the heroine, who never seems to learn anything or gain any confidence. I'm tired of seeing: girl does something stupid, guy saves her, she has confidence issues, he reassures her, repeat ad nauseum. If they'd stopped around chapter 35, it probably would've been OK, but I don't think I can take another 10 volumes of this! I moved it to my unfinished list. Some day when I'm feeling masochistic, I'll pick it up again.
It's a fun shoujo, but to be true... I'm getting crazy about the fact there are always problems with Aine XD
I only read the first four volumes and had to stop it was just to "Over the top typical for me to enjoy." I will admit I'm sometimes a sucker for typical shoujo plots but this shoujo theme was lackluster in my opinion.
ares6..i totally agree with you..some people..just..dont like this kinda thing i guess..Whee~ Loved this alot ^^ I finally got the last volume.. yesterday >.< yeah~ Their son... so cute =D

I think i'm gonna puke...
Ew. gross. disgusting. horrible. immature. unrealistic. after reading this, i feel like giving it a 10. on the other (and sadly nonexistent) end of the chart. You can't hate on me for saying this if you're a Shinjo-addict, because i've read most of her works, and more besides. I know my smut. You know how there's music you feel like you have to dance to? i found manga i feel i have to puke to. both this one and haou airen, which is another
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
piece of crap i can't stand. who honestly reads raperaperaperaperape and likes it? answer, sickos and phycopaths, that's who.
beyond that, i'm a feminist. screw males. who do you think let you live? who's smart enough to live longer in the first place? SM's girls are wimpy, fake, and rediculous. oh, speaking of SM, her female characters are almost always the perfect fit for the m in sm. i think shinjo mayu is bad for my heart (and my stomach). a 1 from me.
Not that Bad!!
I must say that even though I do not like smut mangas (except for Red River) much, this is one of the better smut mangas. It's better than Haou Airen if that means anything to you. Typical school girl. Typical famous guy. Shinjo however tells this tale in a way that isn't bitter sweet, nor is it disgusting, but just right. But still smutty. I hope that provides enough information so you can decide whether or not to read it.
Its the best manga ive ever read. no fuss no drills here... and sure not a cliche. the manga storyline is soooo GOOOOODDDD!!! Its not ur typical girl meets celebrity, she herself is a celebrity in her own right way, she a lyricist, with a very good imagination and she's a high school with a pure heart... SAKUYA, is the best anime/ manga MAN ive ever encounter, well, there's mAyu's Gin and Hakuron but, SAKUYA defntly ROCKS and scores 200%!!! I love his way of moves, talks and total arrogance, and yes, MAYU SHINJO sure knows how to CREATE MUSIC VIDEOS, i love all her MV here... she sure is good... the band Lucifer and emu really is cool and i hope that i can buy the Drama CDs... argh!!! its hard here to find em... THANKS MAYU!!!
...It could be worse, right?
I got through the first three volumes before I wanted to off Aine. Stupid, Stupid girl. Great for smut lovers though. Not one of the best the mangaka's works though.
pretty good manga with quite a bit of smut
this was a good shoujo manga, with all of the entertainment business stuff and the relationship between sakuya and aine. . . i actually kinda felt bad for ralph grazer. oh, and their son is so adorable. xD
