Iranian Elections
So, there's been quite a stir about this, about it being rigged whatever... Hmm, it would be funny if the result is actually true, and here they are protesting. 🤣
Here's a source. You don't have to fully base yourself on that. Look at multiple sources, be sceptical! I'm just too lazy to post more~
Those progressive Iranians sure have some balls, that's for sure.
As you can see from this YouTube video, he is not liked.
This also reminds me of the theories about Bush stealing the presidency from Gore. This article sounds interesting in relation to that.

When you think about it, it's become quite the spectacle, and nobody's going to stop it anytime soon since it's giving the attention back to Iran.

I havent read any of the sources, but trust me its probably the media trying to make up a story after listening to people who were just strongly against the new pres only without taking into the account of the people who actually voted for him.
._.

I believe that it was rigged :\
@aerohead
No, I won't trust you..
HOW can it be just the media?
How can you ignore the mass of people rioting? It's practically the whole nation!
That's ignorance!

The problem is that the "elected" president, is a potentially dangerous man. He believes the holocaust never happened and has plans for nuclear weapons...
Let him "do whatever the hell they want", could mean the next world war o_o

Actually, a couple organizations have shown statistically that it was, in fact, rigged. Now, the math alone can't prove it- there can always be statistical anomalies, but the evidence is strong enough to suggest that there is foul play involved, which calls for investigation. If you actually do a bit of research, it's obvious that there's something happening.
You should really be careful before labeling something as media hype/bias. While, sure, there are plenty of situations where such things do happen, there has to be an underlying issue that causes such suspicion in the first place. Just look at the empirical evidence and a variety of sources instead of criticizing the process without any knowledge of the actual situation.

I can't claim to know much about this election (about politics in general), but if it is in fact rigged, can Iran do anything about it? Or is this a done deal event?

Nothing is ever a "done deal" in countries that are politically unstable as Iran currently is. I could get into a bit of detail, but the people who are opposing the results are using a lot of strategies that were also used during Iran's last revolution, so even if there isn't any actual fraud involved it's hard to say what the actual resolution will be.
Ironically, it's not going to make a huge difference either way at this point in time. The so-called "progressive" candidate is only mildly so.
@Scyfon: Sorry, I missed this earlier, but I have to call you on the whole "WWIII" bit. Exceedingly unlikely even in the worst case scenario, there's a reason he hasn't done much of anything that aggressive during his previous term. The issue at hand is more humanitarian than it is dangerous to international security.
