Have you ever been in a car accident?

Was it your fault? Were you driving? Have you ever been hit by a car?
Have you ever driven into a pole/mail box and actually caused a lot of damage?

I did look for similar threads. All I came up with was "stupid driving mistakes." 😮
This is a sensitive subject (I think.) So if it gets locked, so be it~

Yes I have. Only one was serious (unless I forgot others), which was when I was a child. It was during winter. My dad was driving and we were in a hurry, so we turned a corner and slipped and hit a tree.

There were other times where we hit another car or another car hit us (us is my family 😛 ) but those were minor. Just slowly bumping into each other.

Yeah, I've been in two. And though one wasn't my fault, two of my friends died.. The other happened late at night, totaled the car in a river.

Recently, on new years eve actually, a friend of mine in high school got hit and killed while walking on the interstate. It's sad really, I remember she was fried all the time, and kind of lost it, wasn't really all there. But she was a nice girl.

I was in the Car with my Dad and we were rear ended during traffic, our Car was stationary the girl who hit us was on the phone. We both had a good go at her, it was rather funny, she was 30 she should know better.

I can only remember one.
My mother spilled hot tea on her hands and slammed straight into the pole. She was going 45mph so it wasn't that bad. The pole fell on top of the car, and crushed it from the center. We survived. There was a lot of blood, and the car was totally undrive-able!

I suffered from fear of cars for a year after the accident. Because at that time, my whole body was shaking, and all I saw was the blood from my head injury. I was so shocked. (Head wounds always have so much blood coming outta it, even if it wasn't that deep of a cut!) And I was a child at that time.

Now I'm fine with cars. I don't feel afraid to get in one... BUT, I RATHER NOT DRIVE AT ALL. That's my fear. I wish I can just ride a moped for life. >______< XD

At times I've been to situations
where I wonder if my car is possessed though.

yup, once. mom hit a parked car and i few under the dash, only minor injuries.

Yes!! Just recently i was driving in a car with my friend (mind u this car was a taurus and a very old and crappy one) and so he decided to race another friends car (a escalade) and of course we decided to throw pennies at each others cars as we drove, and then finally after we lost (of course) my friend drives right into a lady in front of us at a red light because he was yelling out the window at the car after we where done racing, moral to this story? life is always fun with pennies....

When I was a kid somebody drove right through a red light and hit us. The lady who hit us was bleeding like crazy and I got hit on the head pretty bad. Both my brother and dad had to go the the emergency room.
The car has slipped on ice plenty of times, no accidents from that though. I've managed to become very nervous about driving. So I hate to drive even though I've had my license for almost half a year now >_>
However, I have never been driving when a car accident occurs.

I've only been in a really small one. We were behind 2 other cars. The first braked, the second swerved and we swerved in the second. Then the first (not touched) sped off.
Dad was not amused. >:-(

I remember one of my classmates family being involved in an accident.
His mother, sister and brother were just driving along and hit a patch of black ice.
They were all seriously injured and the sister died. she was about 5. It was just super upsetting to find out. and His dad had to come back from Iraq.
It must have been heartbreaking for him, I don't know how he coped with it.. 😔
But now, I'm always scared of black ice, I mean I was already, but like more aware...

I've never had a car accident, and that's due to the fact I don't even have a license yet. There has been a few cases when I was young and crazy drivers almost killed me and my grandpa...now I'm afraid of walking on the streets of China.

i had the light car's accident..just leave a scratch and scar to my car....i hit the side of the other car when i reversed....i wonder why the car doesnt sound beep beep when it reversed and nearly the back car at that time.... 😢

I've been through one recently. I was in the car while my friend drove it. Suddenly a big black Hummer hit us from behind and the car was all smashed up. It was some scary shit.

For the record, we were all safe and the guy in the Hummer was drunk.
