I'm curious if there are mangas such as shoujo hentai. My friends and I were talking about it yesterday - how hentai manga's plots are totally JUST about the sex and ecchiness, but does anybody know of a hentai manga that actually has a decent plot and possibly romance?
Hmmm.. now that I think about it.. shoujo is for young girls... hentai would be a big no-no.. how about josei hentai?? or maybe just plain old romance hentai?

There's plenty of shoujo/josei smut around; not being interested in hentai I have no idea what the differences are (hentai is more explicit, maybe, and generally intended for a male audience?).

i'll try some
giri giri sisters
an earnest captive
candy girl
insei iroiro(incest)
evergreen(awesome story here but sad)incest
pink sniper(a lots of furry, not romance but verry funny)
there's quite a lot of hentai romance but most of them are oneshot and i don't remember there name.
I must say that witchcraft is really good and a must too read if you like hentai
@tofuqueen: smut and josei are love story were sex take part in it (not really explicit)
hentai is the pornographic side of the manga, it's really explicit compared to smut and you can find all kind of story in it... really all kind of story 🤢

So...what would be the difference between "hentai with plot and romance" (which is what the original poster was looking for), and some of the really smutty shoujo/josei stories? Some of them are pretty explicit, though as I said I haven't read hentai so I can't compare.

in josei the sex help advance in the plot, in hentai it's the plot that help the sex scene to appear, for exemple in witchcraft the plot is about a guy who got enrolled as guinea-pig (not sure if this word is correct) and for the experience to be easyier he must be in an extatic state (like after climaxing), that's the principal difference, the priority is different, for one it's the plot and the other it's the sex scene but i think some smut or josei could be considered hentai.
Also i think the sex scene are more "hard" in the hentai in the way the author show them, in smut (for the very few i know) it's more sensual than in the hentai were it's often brutal and more crude (like the girl who's shouting: "you're ramming your **** so hard in me" )
As i said earlyer a lots of romance hentai are oneshot (20-30 pages) because the story only need a guy, a girl and a situation.
try witchcraft you will see the difference in the first chapter.

Shoujo/josei smut is as far as I'm interested in going in that direction. 🤣

So essentially what your asking for is hentai aimed more at women?

Yes, which means she's asking for smut.
There are barely any fluffy Hentai around.
Some suggestions;
Dekiai Paradox
Lovenista
Royal Seventeen

I'm going to take a wild guess that you're not interested in yuri hentai, but I feel like recommending Shoujo Sect anyway. It's got romance, fluff and cuteness to go along with the very sensual, erotic sex scenes; it's mostly episodic (at first), but the story is overall a huge step up in comparison to other hentai.

A very fluff and vanilla one-shot that I remember being more like a shoujo than a normal hentai, is Distance between the Two by NARUKO Hanaharu.
Apart from that, you could give FUUGA's series a try. Most of them have some sort of romantic development (e.g. Sensei o Mite Kudasai) although they are still hentai.
EDIT:
Found a nice and short vanilla series, Hatsukoi no Oto by MARUTA. It's about two childhood friends who grow into lovers. It could've been one of the sweetest slice-of-life romances if it weren't for it's graphicness.

- Blood Alone by TAKANO Masayuki
- Otoyomegatari by MORI Kaoru
- Gangsta. by Kohske
