I've been working on and off on a cross-platform application for managing manga collections and read status.

I'm planning to eventually incorporate a manga reader, automated offline file manager, automated read status updater, general statistics, recommendations based on personal taste, news feeds and RSS burner.

My biggest problem by far is the lack of a reliable, comprehensive source of meta-data and information on manga. I was hoping this site would have an API which I could use, since it is probably the best source of information on manga in the world.

I read some older posts which said that there was an API in the works, but I couldn't find any more news on it. Would there be any way to get access to a 'beta'? I'd even volunteer to help with its development, if I can.

I actually had the app not too long ago but it seems it was taken down from the app store. I'm assuming you'd have to talk directly with someone from here, or shoot them a msg.

There is no official API

The app is currently gone because our Apple developer license expired.

I'm sorry to hear about the app.

Is there an official API still in the works? If there is, I am serious about my offer to help with its development.

Then where should I go to request that they make an API? Here in the forums, or in the IRC?
BTW, sorry for necro-ing, but I figured that this thread already fit what I wanted to ask.
