I read this manga a few months back about a boy who gets trapped/teleported into a game. I remember he cures an elf's curse and he goes into the city and joins the guild. He takes up work as an adventurer and on one mission he goes into the forest to collect like plants or something and encounters a Jack, I believe it was called. He defeats the monster and in the process he sends a sword flying into the city and right into the castle.
