I think it was a novel with the character awakening into a new world, and he latches onto one of the strong characters to survive. But the MC is always naturally insulting and saying bad things to other people.

The summary contained something like the MC saying that that's what his father's father, and his father's father telling him how to treat his close friends, and then someone else asks him- can I not be your friend anymore?

Or something like that.
