-- here for lack of a better place to put it ---

I teach 8th grade English at a Junior High School in Kagawa prefecture (Shikoku, Japan) and am joining several manga sites in hopes of finding partners for a student created project. The kids have worked hard to come up with a topic they find interesting and are putting together some cool stuff to show off in their school and to mail abroad.

For their final selection class English project the kids have created a survey about manga in America and are currently writing summaries/reports about their own favorite titles. They would like to exchange their reports with manga fans from the United States in particular (though other English-speaking countries would be just as welcome).

I have two classes of about 30 students each, male and female. English is their second language and some speak and write it very poorly. All mailings would be from individuals to the school, there would be no direct contact with the children (all letters are pre-screened by myself and another Japanese instructor) so no shennanigans! This is a one-shot exchange. I'm afraid there's no opportunity for long-term penpal exchanges.

As this isn't by any means for profit or self-promotion, but if you find the mail posted here to be in violation of forum rules, I apologize.

If anyone is interested in joining us in an exchange, please contact me at tsurara@gmREMOVEail.com

(Please take care to remove the nospam when mailing)
Thank you
