I've not read too much yaoi since I only read it from time to time, but I've noticed a few things that seem to be a common theme within the genre and I've grown tired of it.

What I want is are yaoi manga with absolutely no supernatural, sci-fi, or fantasy elements. I'm looking for something that doesn't use that kind of stuff as a "hook" to make the yaoi manga different and interesting. A number of ones I've read use that kind of thing instead of relying on the merit of the story.

I also would like the manga to not have yaoi couples everywhere. I read this one where there were no women and no one was straight. A manga where being gay isn't a normal every day thing. I'd also like it if the uke starts out as straight and doesn't immediately accept the fact that hes gay, or is atleast reluctant to do so. A number of yaoi manga I've read they were just like "oh so I love him.. I guess that means I'm gay"

Those with supernatural or sci-fi elements are actually a very small number. I'd like to read more good ones.

I, on the contrary, prefer the characters starting out being gay, instead of straight guy being raped/forced sex and turing gay, or falling in love with someone not because of his sex, that kind of bullshit, like in a lot of yaoi manga. 🤢

I'm not really looking for a yaoi where the love comes after sex. In fact it doesn't really have to be explicit, it can be more of a shounenai.

i'm looking for something more drama-ish that approaches it a bit seriously. Rather than something that just takes it as a novelty or something.
