A mixture of the above I guess. I don't really care that much about endings as long as it's good. xD No preference~

I don't really care. I just like it that the end suits the rest of the manga. A grim and serious manga shouldn't end with some ultra happy, naive ending. A light, comedic manga shouldn't end with some sort of sudden tragedy. That sort of thing.

Though I do have to love those abrupt, inconclusive endings...

A mixture of the above.
I like ending that make me cry.
Happy endings tend to do it less, unless they are very well written.

[ X ] A coherent ending

At least once I want a harem manga ending with the guy/girl (I don't really like the idea of a reverse-harem but I guess such an occasion would be worthwhile to read regardless of demographic and usual preference) having a relationship with more than one or even all romantic interests.

I wish there were more manga where the bad guys win. 🙁

My second choice would've been when the main character dies.

It depends, different endings suit different stories. But many of the great stories that I've read have had tragic endings, so I went with that.

I suppose a twisted and unexpected ending, is always the best because its different than the norm and you can be shocked about it, but that's for shounen/josei/seinen manga.
For shoujo, I guess a romance ending, where the main characters end up together. =3

a tough one... to be honest, I mainly read shoujo so I am pretty much sick to death of the typical happy ending. normally you can tell even from the very start who the heroine will end up with, so I voted for the twist ending option.

that's not to say I don't like happy endings... They just tend to border on cheesy. I like tragic endings too. It's very sad for characters to die but that's what happens and in the end, it makes a manga more memorable for me. I really hate inconclusive endings, like in harem manga where the protagonist doesn't actually pick anyone... Frustrating.

an example of a twist ending I liked would be after-school nightmare, the kind of one where you can then read the whole manga again and find new meanings in imagery and what the characters say.

I like the unexpected endings. The romance is too much and too common for the heroines to have a happily-ever-after.

I voted "everyone's happy", but my real favorite endings are more "everyone's happy or moving in a direction to become happy".

Example - If there's a long-standing love-triangle, I think it's silly for one person to just suddenly fall in love with someone else, or decide "as long as my loved person is happy, I'm happy, even if they're not with me, but I'll love them forever...". That seems very fake. However if the third person is in the process of acceptance/grieving/whatever-you-want-to-call-it at the end, that's fine; they may not be happy at that moment but they're definitely moving towards happiness. 😃
