BL games

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or the games section, but since the people there seem a little unwelcoming to bl, I chose this section. ^^
BL games! What's your opinion on them? Are they more or less interesting to you than typical dating sims for girls? What are your favorites?
As for me, I've only played one: Kichiku Megane. I don't really like the overly-shiny style of visual novels, but I really liked Kichiku Megane because you could pair the uke with himself as a seme! 😀
As far as I know there's only two in English right now: Enzai and Animamundi. They're in my opinion two of the worst licensing choices the companies could make. I don't think they're bad games, but both are some of the darkest, kinkiest bl games out there. Enzai is non-con and visually shotacon, and Animamundi verges on guro. The English-speaking consumer base might see these games and think all bl games are similar to them, which would make many less interested in further releases.

I wish I could get BL games and I really wanted Animamundi but somehow I never got around to buy it. I downloaded Enzai but it was all in Japanese (you can guess where I ended up in the game) lol. Enzai was hardcore it had my eyes bulging out my sockets as I randomly clicked different choices that I couldn't read. I like BL games and hope they translate the Kyou Kara Maou Oresama quest to english one day 😀 or Lamento

I've never played a BL game before. I only download CG packs.
I'd love to play Legend of Flower Town, Hunks Workshop and Messiah but sadly none of them are released in the U.S yet. 🙁

Lol. Is the game anything like the anime?

more smex scenes and pairings, depending on the choices of the player 😁 I never finish it though, because my computer crashed halfway. Then again, the only one I managed to finish is Haru wo daiteita Gigolo, since it's very short 😀
I'd love to play Legend of Flower Town (Hanamachi Monogatari) too, the pics are so gorgeous. But for now I think I'll stick on the ones that have been translated into english first 🤣

I played to Artificial Mermaid which was good. (but I didn't understand nothing /-____-") Characters are so pretty and CG arts are sublime. I tried Hanamachi monogatari too.

Ooh, I've played some BL games. The first one I played was Animamundi, and while I really liked it (especially Dashwood, SQUEE)... well, I patched in the original Japanese images, and I wound up on one story path whose resulting CGs were so horrific they kept me awake that night. No, really. If you think the English version of Animamundi verges on guro, keep in mind that it's edited.
Anyway. Yeah. I've never touched Enzai, have no intention of ever touching it, because, uh, it's really not my kind of thing? Animamundi is explicit, but in the "violence and gore" way more than the "sex" way. I don't even think it was marketed as a BL game, probably because there were non-BL endings (though, uh...
the only storyline in which MC Georik sleeps with a woman is the one where he's possessed by a demon. -snerks-). But yeah, non-con and shota-con are really not my thing, hence, no Enzai for me.
I played through Cherry Blossom, which apparently no one's ever heard of but which I really liked. I'm currently working my way through Gakuen Heaven. I'm actually liking it better than I thought I would. Though, to be perfectly honest, the sex scenes could be, like, ten times shorter. I swear to god they're endless and they take twice as long to read because they have vocab and kanji that we... uh... don't study in Japanese class. To put it politely. -coughs- But it's also the only unvoiced BL game I've ever finished a storyline in, so it gets bonus points for that. Every other unvoiced BL game I've tried, I got bored with about five minutes in. ^^;
I was planning on trying Sukisho next, but I'm intrigued by the fact that everyone's talking about this Hanamachi Monogatari. Should I be playing this next? What's it about?

1.i've never really played a BL game, but if i'm given the chance,i'll be glad to try it out.
2.i'm not quite sure if it is better than the normal girl/boy thing since i've never tried playing one.i have yet to find out.

I've always wanted to play a BL game about as much as I want to play an otome game.
BL games will satisfy my physical needs while an otome game satisfies my maiden heart.
Either way, is good and all, but I only know of one BL game that's actually translated.
If only companies would translate the prettier and sexier BL games! 🙁

I would die if they released a BL game in america! (die of excitment) But I haven't seen any, at least not in the main stream, and i'm not holding my breath o_o;;; It would be even better if the whole game didn't revolve around hook ups, but that's probably even more unlikely o_o;
Maybe someday...

Animamundi was guro?
Erm... yeah well... a lot of horror movies use "in your face" and very extreme gore to make their point. 🙂
But nevertheless, apart from some weird moments which resulted in the main character and others thrown into random steamy scenes, I enjoyed much of the writing and stories. 🙂

Romance games, straight or gay, have never been my thing.
I end up feeling silly playing them.

I only played Lamento, for the fantastic music. 😉
But visual novels can get really boring no matter they are BL or not, and how sexual they are. I am not interested in any other at the moment, not even Kichiku Megane which everybody raves about (I usually don't like what everybody raves about as BL goes). And I don't like the art and storyline.
Togainu no Chi and Enzai were released in English in America, I think?

If it makes you feel any better, I loved Kichiku Megane, and I normally HATE stuff like that. No, seriously, hate. But I loved Kichiku Megane. It's probably the only BL game I've ever replayed a storyline in. I mean, I love it in a "this is ridiculous but I just can't stop playing!" kind of way. But that still counts.... right?
Also, Enzai was released in English, but Togainu no Chi was not. We know all the fangirls would squeal in glee if it ever were, but I wouldn't count on any BL game being licensed ever again, not even one as popular as some Spray and Nitro+Chiral games are. According to an interview I read, widespread piracy is the one and only reason that a certain BL game (not mentioned by title in the interview) was not licensed. I'll try to see if I can find that interview again, it was pretty interesting.
