The "Hells"

The shinigamis seen so far each had their own specific type of hell- burning hell, hunger hell, and that other weird ball reborn animal hell thing. Now, I'm readin Reborn volume 9, and this dude is talking about these paths of reincarnation, and so I'm like, whoa, this is where they come from. Paths of reincarnation: 1: hell- the burning hell 2: hungry ghosts- hunger hell 3: animals- the rebirth/animal pain thing 4- ashura/shura- 5: humans- 6: deva/heaven- So how is it going to advance after all these shinigami hells are done? Either way, it's a very fun allusion, adaption of the manga.

Member 5:30 am, Nov 16 2010 Posts: 10	wait so u think this idea was taken out of reborn? um no....these religious context are taken from Buddhism. Defense Devil uses lots of christian motifs too; like the priests, the cross etc so its a melting pot of regions in one manga.
