So, I'm in the mood for some tv watching, and I don't know what I want to watch, so I need recommendations.

I'm looking for a tv-show or movie where you grow emotionally close to the characters; almost like they're real people. Actually, you don't even have to get emotionally close to them. Just make sure you can feel what they're going through, and you're scared for them when something dangerous is happening, ect. The plot/premise can be anything, although I prefer something where the main character has to keep something a secret from most of the population.

Also, make sure it isn't about the.. mundane. Do something with gore and/or action. Or with fantasy/Sci-Fi stuff in it. It doesn't even have to be the main point; just make it there.

How to make life-like characters; Really, REALLY good acting, excellent script, well-thought out casting, and make the characters believable. With faults and stuff like that.

No stuff that is set farther in the future then like... 10 years. Past is fine, just no future stuff. Not in the mood.

Examples! ; Supernatural, Dexter, and MAYBE Kyle XY.

Okay, right now, I'm overriding your "no future stuff", but Battlestar Galactica is really nice. Try to watch it.

Ehm, and some people here would advocate for CSI: New York. 😛 Which is more of a slice-of-life show, I guess? With some related events between the episodes. Can't really tell, since I haven't watched it, but I heard good things about it.
