How do you feel about the notes that usually the editors or translators put in their scanlations? They get annoying sometimes? It's funny to read their reactions? They only good when explaining some piece of weird culture that you don't know about?
Feel free to put up some examples

Reminds me of a thread I once made...
Anyways, I always like T/N regarding the text, cultural differences, etc'
The funny (pointless) ones are nice. When they're funny and not frequent. I must say I'm often tempted to add those when I typeset.

I appreciate the ones that explain terminology, slang, historical references, etc; but I really enjoy the funny ones.

Love the funny ones. They can't be too frequent though, then they're not funny anymore.
I do appreciated the ones which explains what's going on regards to the text though.

I like it when they write something funny that happened during the scanlating process. I rarely see it,though. But I still like it. :3

I might be a little bit biased because I'm an editor/translator myself, but I really do like reading those little comments.
It's fun to read.

I don't really care for them.
Usually, I don't want any of them to obstruct my reading enjoyment, unless it's relevant to the story by explaining some obscure term or some such.

I like both the funny and the informative ones.... So, if their was an option for that, then I'd go with that one.

I really like the funny ones, but I also like when editor/translators give clarifications on the translations and scenes.

I like the funny ones, they just can't be too often or they get annoying. And the ones about the translations are always helpful.

Although sometimes, some groups go overboard with the "funny" notes that it's not funny anymore.

Translation notes are always appreciated, especially if it explains some obscure cultural detail. Personally, I prefer most notes to be on the same page that it clarifies where possible so as not to break the flow of reading too much.
Funny editor notes are good too of course. It shows that the scanlators/publishers want to have a dialogue with the readers. It's an unsung advantage scanlations have over paperbacks in general.
