Let's all help out a good cause~ I'm sure this is allowed? I feel like this is a great opportunity to show the strength of the MU community. :]

I saw this on another board (its members' total amount of donation is $ 637 as of yet)and thought it would be a great idea to generate some discussion along with some helping out with the devastation in Haiti. It's currently being reported that around three million people were affected by the earthquake and it is believed that somewhere between 40.000 to 200.000 people could be dead. Along with the deplorable conditions of the nation before the quake, Haiti is in a state of crisis.

I want to rally everyone to make donations to a preferred charity helping out in this cause. It doesn't have to be a massive donation but even a few bucks will help. I'll be keeping a running donation count on the first post here for the amount that the posters of MU (have) donate(d). 😉 5 bucks is enough, even the tiniest amount is okay~ If you feel like sharing, you can say how much you donated. o.o And I'll add that up to the count. Of course you'll get credited~ Even underage people (with no credit card) can text with their cellphones!

Also people who don't want to reveal themselves
can just PM me and I'll add it to the total count. :]

You don't have spare money to give? Don't worry!! You can still show that you care

I'm president of my school's Model UN, so I set up a can shake that we're holding all throughout the next week. I've personally only donated $20 so far.
