Well back when i was a kid (yeah i'm old now that i'm seventeen) i used to watch this anime that starred a guy that had a kind of a light saber that was formed from his ki or something and a kick ass spaceship that belonged to an elite few, survivors of some very advanced alien/ancient (not sure about the origin) technology. then he had to fight other ships like his that sort of assimilated the pilot... Well i don't know if there's a manga of it but can you tell me the name of the series even if it's jus an anime?

I really wanna watch it again T.T

P.S. i think before him it was his mum or some other female character that piloted the ship and he inherited when she died fighting...

Is it Lost Universe, maybe??
