Very disappointed that "Baby don't hurt me" isn't a poll option. Literally the first thing I thought when I read the question. 😀

I believe love is merely a product of our hormones creating a feeling of attachment to the particular object/person that we're looking at. It's like a genetic disease, a delusion if you will, that everyone seems to get at one point or another in their life. It's a defense mechanism for surviving in the harsh reality of life by creating bonds between people and things. Love can be platonic and romantic as well as a myriad of other things, so it's hard to describe it in just one way; after all, you don't love something the same way you do with a person (at least I hope so... marrying a body pillow... HA!). It's an irrational feeling that mere words just can't do it justice. All in all, love is an indescribable delusion (like all emotions) caused by the chemistry of body and a catalyst for many problems and happiness in the world. Too bad delusion isn't on the list of choices.

Love is an emotion.
