if i have a daughter i´ll name her Ciel. it´s a legal female name here, but it isn´t used often. If i have a boy i name him Selim. I meet a guy in my math course with that name, so i think it´s also okay to use it~ i so want to name a boy Edward, but then everyone would think i´m a twilight fanatic (damn you stephanie meyer).
So, in short, i´d like to use names from Kuroshitsuji and Full Metal Alchemist

EDIT: that´s a joke with the manga i want to use names from. it´s just that i love those names

I've decided not to have any children. But I do like the simple 2-syllable names like Miko that could just pass off as unique-but-not-truly-outstandish names.

No.

But if it was a nice - and normal - name, why not? I wouldn't name the child simply because of some sentimental value / love towards a manga though...

Why not? I'm not thinking about having kids though, but it would be fun to tell your kid "I named you after a manga character"

Maybe, because there are some names (I like) that seems ok to name my kids like Nana, Kei, Reo, Kira, Kana, and etc. Nothing too Japanese like though, haha.

If i have a daughter, probably Sara (or Sarah) like the main female character in angel sanctuary...
But that's all, and plus it's a normal name bigrazz
But mostly of manga's name are japanese so it would be strange for a child where i live (except if my wife was asian xD)

I don't think I'd name my child something *just* because it was a manga/anime character I liked, but if I liked the name for other reasons as well, then I guess I might.

It's highly unlikely that I'll have any more kids, though (and no, none of my three are named after manga/anime characters).

Oh No..
I want the name to carve deep meaning. Not just because I love a character then I would give my kiddo that name. And yet, i still think Fay is a good name.

I was named after a popular song my mother's love... roll eyes kinda now how it feels.
at least my name still has another meaning..
