Last year I spent over $1,000 for sure, and that's solely manga. My collection grew by at least 100 volumes, probably more.

Not bad for a person with no job 🤣

Manga and such can get pretty expensive, man.

Between 500-1000+ mostly manga. I buy in bulk every couple of months (or so). So far this year, I've already spent around 400. 🤣

less than a hundred for these years.. i didn't buy anything significant for two years, i rent anime n manga.
i used to spend a lot of money on buying manga and related items (from 7th grade up till early years in college). Got my room full of stuffs!

Manga is very expensive...especially if you buy it in bundles of 5-10.

1000+ i buy most of the time 1 volume each week.
But still i know the pool is new but 37.7% never bought any goods that's kind of sad.

I know it's still new but...NONE? REALLY?! Even if i'm mostly an online reader/watcher, I at least spend some money for anime/manga goods. I buy things like: posters, nendroids, cd's, renting manga/anime, anime magic things (sakura cards/naruto headband anyone?) even those stuff with anime (-- may it be notebooks,keychains,pens,mirrors,bags,or products with completely unrelated anime images). Hmmm... but we'll see at the end of the poll 🙂

For me, I spend about 100-500$ (maximun 120$) every year 🙂

I'd say 0 - 100 for the past 2 years. I'm up to date with all the manga I'm collecting at the moment, and the new volumes that come out are usually a trickle, so my spending on manga has decreased over the years.

Don't get me started on how much it must have cost when I began collecting though. I don't even want to think about it.
I don't buy anime because that really is too expensive and I haven't been able to find any decent deals on them so I just don't buy them.
As for merchandise related things, I don't really buy them either. Maybe if there's a sale on or something but usually I don't. My posters that I have are freebies advertising when the anime's DVD is coming out or something. Not that I care because hey, I got them for free.

I basically spend the money on manga 🤣

The figures definitely push it over the 1000€, at least for the last 1 1/2 years (since I started working).

0-100... and in my country that's already a lot of mangas.. i never buy merchandise, even though there are many shops for that here....

The last 3-4 years I haven't bought one single volume, but I've begun buying again. I just love the smell of new manga volumes. Oh, the pleasure! 😀 Don't think I'll ever buy any anime, though. I'm probably gonna spend something between 100-300 dollars on manga this year.

I've also begun feeling that I need to support the companies that translate Japanese mangas to English a bit more. It would be sad if it was impossible to get ahold of English translated manga paperbacks. I keep to buying short manga stories though, not gonna buy any of those crazy long series, maybe except for a couple of random volumes.

Generally, I spend 0-100 dollars a year on manga. If it's a good year and I have a lot of money/there are a lot of books I want then it's usually 100-500 dollars. I wish I had enough money to spend 1000+ though, that would be amazing. As it is, I usually have to pick and choose the manga I want. The worst thing is I'm still not up to date with a lot of my series and I don't even follow any crazy long ones. There's too much manga I want 😢

Around 1000 this year, it'll be 1000+ by the end of the year (by next month actually but never mind)

just this year alone I've spent/will spend around $200 on manga, and in the past... at least $500 - so yeah, around $700 spent on manga... I don't buy anime- wait, no that isn't true, I did buy some movies... but they wouldn't change the price much~ OMG! I need to stop wasting money on these things XD!
