I read the first volume of this a long time ago and never saw it again. I found it and never got to read it because of the doubt: is it really shonen-ai?
Could you guys tell me if it's worth it for someone who only reads BL? Or is it just like, there's a guy who lkes another but nothing male on male related ever happens?

Well, as someone who also reads only BL, I enjoyed it greatly, despite the fact that any Shonen-ai related action is vague, thin, and far in between. The romantic feelings are there, but they are one sided (Cesare's). Still, there is a certain ambiguity in Chiaro's nature and conduct that gives a very interesting 😀 shade to their relationship, and that of course in addition to a lot of angst, emotional attachments, and simply touching loyalty.

I think you should definitely check it out and not let your fear of disappointment deter you.
