The character song CD bundled with the ninth Minami-ke manga volume on Thursday included the following exchange between the cast members in character:

"By the way, Chiaki, it seems like Minami-ke will be animated again.

I heard that, too. Congratulations! Haruka-neesama.

You, too. Chiaki. We'll do our best again.

Yes, oneesama. Let's do our best.

Why did you say that? I wanted to say that Minami-ke would be animated and give congratulations. I should have been the one to announce that.

[]

We used to do OAV before.

[]

I hope that this will be on television.

[]

And now, we're out of time.

Look forward to the Minami-ke anime, you guys.

We'll give you details some other time.

Don't expect too much.
"

The ninth manga volume also came with a drama CD and an exclusive 2012 calendar. The manga already inspired three television anime series and a Minami-ke: Betsubara video sequel.
