Ugly girl, who remains ugly ?

I'm looking for Mangas ( preferably Romance, Shojo, Josei etc and NOT Shounen&Co ) where there is an ugly girl ( preferably the main character, but it can also be a secondary one, as long as she has a plot for herself) who remains ugly.
And i DON'T MEAN just "pretend ugly"= she wears glasses/ long bangs/ dresses out of fashion etc. and then, just takes glasses off/cuts hair/gets new clothes and voila , she's the most beautiful !
I know that there aren't many ugly drawn characters, so i guess she can also only be considered ugly by the others, BUT she should not make a transition to being considered beautiful.
I hope that makes sense...
BONUS : i would love for her to also have a love interest and maybe someone who likes her back...
I haven't found any stories like this yet so i hope someone can help me 🙂
THANK YOU !

Well, Gokusen might fit. Her students have thought of her as ugly but they eventually come to respect her and one even loves her.

I've already read all three 🙁
Thanks anyways !
Other?!
Kuragehime, not sure if you would like it since the hole "transformation" is still there, but the main character IS ugly and only a few guys see her as pretty. It might not be what you are looking for. I like it tough,

Hmm, I personally reckon for Kuragehime, the character DOES go under some sort of transformation.... but I love it : P
It could be what you're looking for anyway so you should give it a try!

One-shot - IIRC it fits: Gaki no Koro kara

bara no tameni definitely fits. The main character is chubby and unattractive by manga standards and there is a also love interests involved.

I've already read Bara no tameni and Gaki no Koro kara and i did like them, especially Gaki no Koro kara ( such a beautiful friendship!). As for Bara no tameni, i did like it, but the ending was somewhat disappointing, still, o a good story and also pretty rare to find - a very complicated plot.
I'll start reading Kuragehime now, but any other ideas are VERY WELCOMED.
Thank you everyone !

i don't think she's really cinsidered ugly...not as in people bully and make fun of her ugly looks anyway...more like she's considered old-fashioned because she dresses in an old style and doesn't wear make-up, because she's a country girl.
personally i loved the manga, one of the best shoujos i have read, but i don't think she was considered ugly, more like old-fashioned.

Love Catalog came to my mind, but the girl isn't the main character and it takes time for her to appear.. i don't think her looks will change much, she is ugly and kinda mean XD plus it has romance!
also, its scanlation isn't finished yet, but so far i think its worth the read 🙂

I wouldn't say she's ugly, just dressed/hidden plainly but is actually quite cute when she 'transforms.' Still worth a read though. ;P
You might also want to try Beauty Pop and Warau Kanoko-sama since the Main Female Lead in both are plain and likes themselves that way (they were even offered a 'transformation,' but refused saying they're comfortable with who they are).
