So guys, anyone has any ideas on what happened between Nex and Serin in the past?
Where the manga left of right now, it seems they are 1 step from getting married.
Anyway my ideas are:

speculation 1: Serin betrayed him for his own good, or the good of chaos. Somehow she thought that a cruel ruler is what people needed, don't forget she gave him the name nex based on a fairy tail about a Regis with the same story. The betrayal caused him the trauma and he became like that.

speculation 2: She really tried to kill him because he had already turned evil/cruel, or she just didn't like where he was going

speculation 3: She was framed by the current queen and Depore and for an unknown reason refused to defend herself, or was mindcontrolled by caladbolg like before.

speculation 4: She is sick/infected and he sealed her to protect her.

considering how he has a soft spot for betrayal i don't consider no4 very possible, i think no1 might be the correct.
Off course there is the possibility that it had something to do with her child (Xix?)
Any ideas on the above?

based on the latest chapters, a half-combination of no 1 and 4 seems possible.
So it's like Serin betrayed him by literally stabbing him in the back, and got forced into a semi-comatose(?), but for the good of Chaos. Thus,(somehow) forcibly making Nex to constantly act cruel and indifferent, while he is actually very much human inside. and miserable. because serin is locked up and betrayed her.
