Some series not updating?

Member 6:18 am, Aug 19 2012 Posts: 1	I'm not sure if this is the right board for it, but I've noticed for example the New Prince of Tennis page hasn't updated to show a new chapter has been released for almost the last 20 chapters now. This threw me off for another months thinking no one was doing it cause I use mangaupdates to keep tabs on the series I'm reading... is there any reason a couple of these series just dont seem to update for new chapters?

I'm not sure whether this question was asked out of utter naivete on your part or simply out of the greediness of a standard leecher. I'll summarize your bug for you: Scanlators are at no obligation whatsoever to translate and/or make available scans of any manga to anyone. And since they do this unpaid, and frankly, the entire process takes quite a bit of work, it's all in the goodness of their heart. So really, if they decide to take a break, no one has any right to complain. And thus, there is no bug at all. Namely in this case is that the group doing the scanlating must have some kind of info, be that a website, IRC channel, forum, Facebook page, or Twitter.
