I'm popping in 'cause I always thought that there was a genre tag for harems, definitely seconding that it's a good suggestion - for all the reasons xombiecorp and you mentioned. You don't even have to be a perv to suggest it-some people want to avoid harems like the plague and would love to be able to filter it out.

If I were calling you a perv, I'd do it straight out. Besides, the harem genre does not necessarily have ecchi content. If harems were always ecchi, we wouldn't need the tag so much...
