I'm doing some research and was wondering what your favourite book is and why? For example, me, it'd be Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone, not because it's an amazingly written book and has fantastic plot and character development but because it's what sparked my passion for reading. (But HP is pretty epic and has good plot/character development in my opinion 🙂

I'm horrible at whys, I just know I like certain things, but I'll give this a try.

A Separate Peace:
It just captivated my imagination and at times was painful to read. I really liked and felt for the character of Phinneas and never quite got over the uncomfortable feeling his friend Gene gave me.

A Tale of Two Cities: Loved Sydney Carton! It had the sort of love triangle/tragedy that I like, and I found Sydney to be a great character.

Shattered Mirror:
I loved this book the first time I read it. And I've enjoyed it ever since, I was waiting for a sequel to it, and now that the sequel is out, and I've read the reviews, I am apprehensive to read it because I liked the original characters so much.

Why I liked it? Dunno, since it is not the best written book, or the most original, it deals with things that are popular right now (teenaged vampires) but I still enjoyed it.
