After recently hearing about the AKB48 drama, where one of the girls got caught spending the night with a man and shaved her head to ask for forgiveness, I was wondering what people thought of the rules placed on K-Pop and J-Pop artists. Maybe because I'm American I don't really get why there are such rules. I actually expect artists to have scandals and get into trouble. Here, its used to make pop stars more popular (but not necessarily more likeable) . Anyways, the rules seem to be unfair because I don't think that any of these rules makes the artists better at their jobs. So what do you think?

Not only on K and J-pop, but asians in general have some really strict rules, especially for women. Of course being famous means you have to sacrifice some privacy and all that, but I think they still have the right to do what they want without having to ask to be forgiven.
