How vague... What exactly do you mean? Are you thinking of a certain type of manga (as in, realistic vs fantasy vs historical—also shoujo vs seinen)? Could you give an example?

I'm also not sure if you mean clothing on different character's or pretty much the whole style in the manga—e.g. I've seen a manga that was full of ivy league style obviously due to the author's preference; in Bakuon Rettou (seinen manga about bousouzoku) it's what's to be expected: printed/patterned shirts, varsity jackets, couple boring suits, overall really casual 80's style with military inspired uniforms on the zoku members.

In Forget-me-not, setting being Italy, the manga is full of style conscious and interesting personalities. You'll see wingtip collars, white suits on men; long dresses with denim jackets, suede monk straps, high rise jeans with turtle neck sweaters on women; maids with traditional maid outfits, butlers in equally appropriate clothing, nice combinations with simple pieces such as sneakers, casual trousers, odd jackets.

If we take a more fantastic example: in Shuna no Tabi we see long (3/4) coats with waist belts, leather boots, cap-like helmets in a very Central Asian style.

In Historie ancient Greek clothing.

Vague? If you're not, I won't be.
