Any tennis players around here? I think the sport is pretty undermined especially when compared to basketball and the like =/, I play pretty often now after a year hiatus and am on the high school team but probably won't be ranked very high even though we lost many of our good members. (damn seniors! why do they have to graduate T_T).
...And yes many of us on the team have read prince of tennis and joke about doing moves from it XD. Which usually does not turn out very well.... I know my older brother kept yelling TEZUKA ZOOONE! Really loudly while me and my friend we're playing against him. People kept giving us the wtf look which was pretty interesting so to speak.

My friend and his brother are like dedicated to tennis, their very own court, and tons of trophys. Plus they're super smart, A's in all their 3 and 4 years of high school(Why cant it be me TT_TT). I play bat mitten which i think is pretty similar to tennis

i play tennis, but i kinda suck
my high school team is defeated (after the seniors, who were the whole entire varsity graduated)
i also play ping pong, and i can do a snake like in PoT...lol
and when i play tennis i joke around trying to do drive b, which is of course, impossible, and other PoT moves that are ridiculous, like moon volley (that one actually worked though lol)

I play, have played most of my life actually, including in high school. Though since getting to college it's been less frequent. I personally hate Prince of Tennis though. I felt it deteriorated the sport into a bunch of shonen cliches. I've seen some other tennis mangas that looked promising but they are never actively translated.
I'd say having played ping pong quite steadily as well, and a bit of badminton, that they're quite different. Though if you get good enough at ping pong the strokes tend to get more similar to Tennis. Badminton requires far more finesse.

i'll enlist Kankuro(sp?) from naruto.
i have nothing against the people that do play...but after hitting my gym coach in the head with a ball and getting suspended...i think its safe to say i hate tennis.
