Well, that was a pretty wasted chapter. Instead of getting to any story, it was just a bunch of Quincy sternritter bickering. Also, what was that deal about Uryu being the "Lone Quincy Survivor" in this world. Does that mean the random world where Juha Bach operates out of, or the entire world? Does that mean that of the current sternritter that none were quincy before? What about Ishida's Father? Also I would assume that his grandfather had other quincy he was talking to.

Or, does that mean that Juha Bach took ALL of their power away?

Ishida now seems to have drunk what I would assume is Juha Bach's blood, the source of their power. I wonder why he will become so much more powerful than the others. But of course, they didn't go into any of that. Just a bunch of infighting.

A big revelation is made in this chapter, uryuu on the same level as juha bach?
This means that a fight between ichigo and uryuu might be pretty interesting.
However, I agree that tite kubo wasted a good many pages on useless character introductions.
Instead he could have given some proper explanation to uryuu's situation.

I think those quincies are spirits, don't belong to human world anymore, just like the dead fullbringers in SS.

So Ishida still is alive, and his dad maybe refused the invitation of Juha, but Uryuu accepted.

The only thing this chapter said is that Bleach won't end before 200 chapters judging from the characters introduced embarrassed

So Ishida is probably with Bach to gain powers to revive his Mother (maybe), or betray him in the end (after Ichigo and he have another bullshit fight with bullshit speech) roll

So Bazz-B is another Grimjow?
Anyway, I am curious about Ishida, I don't think he really joined the man that killed his mother, and I'm sure he's gonna take his power and back stab him in the end, but damn, is it gonna take a while.

Not much of a chapter. I want to see Ryuken, like what's his reactions to his son going off to join the Vandereich?

IMHO Bleach has dragged on far too long.. I mean you get so little info per chapter it's ridiculous, the pacing has gone from incredible slow to snail pace to ultra slow-motion it takes literally months to reveal anything even remotely relevant to the story (for example it's been 4 month and we still don't know the name of kenpachi's zanpakto) at this point I'm just staying around because i want to see how it ends, although i can already guess i have a few more years of waiting. mad

Wow... it's nice to get that off my chest smile now about the chapter i also get the feeling that the Quincy exist in another dimension or something and there obviously a limit on the amount of time they can spend in the real world as seen in the previous SS encounter.

well, it seems that drinking that, which I assume is Juha Bach's blood, will awaken his "true" quincy power. Maybe because he was a quincy, he's able to better channel the power, having been descended from a long line of quincy.

The other sternritter may have been people gathered by Juha Bach in the recent years as part of the new Vandenreich, and their power and letter designation would be determined by their ability to channel his power.

Still, why does Juha Bach even need a successor? He's apparently immortal or something.

Well, there are three major reasons behind that:

1) Tite Kubo's Desire:

He wants to bring Uryuu in the limelight, AND on equal terms with Ichigo.

2) To use as a Manga Plot Device:

So that Uryuu can back-stab Juha Bach just at the right moment.

3) Juha Bach's Optimism or Determination and settlement:

Maybe Juha Bach just wants to decide upon a heir in case something bad happens to him in the battle with Soul Society, OR, maybe he thinks his end is near due to some reason (e.g., the War with S.S. and/or some sort of limitation/s, e.g., a time limit, like: A time limit to how long he can survive).

That's what I think.
