I'm kinda confused with the ending. Was there a timeskip? Is her mom back home? So the two of them managed to stay friends? Maybe I should read it again...

My current top 3:
Fullmetal Alchemist
Pandora Hearts
Silver Spoon

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There was a short time skip from summer to autumn/ winter, as you can see by looking at their garden, their clothes and hairstyles. You're right, Komugi-chan's mother has returned home. It is also indicated that Subaru and Rui are together, and Komugi-chan and Takiji have become friends with potential - at least that's the way I understood it from the last scenes in the greenhouse.
If you're still confused, just read the last chapter.

Yep, that's what I guessed too, but the time skip part wasn't that clear to me. Thanks!
