Hello! Sorry about the awful title of the thread. I really wasn't sure which forum I should post this under so please feel free to move this topic to the correct one.

I'm a long time baka-updates user and an avid manga reader. I've joined the forum however, most specifically to offer myself as a freelance "temp hire" for scanlation groups that are desperately in need of help 'in the mean time'.

Why? Well, I feel most guilty for going through manga like water while I'm aware of how strapped of labor scanlation groups are when I know I have the skills to help. I wanted to be a 'temp hire' as I would like to help out as many groups as I can but at my pace (since I'm still in school) especially since I've a hard time keeping a continuous flow of updates as my schedule gets sporadic over the course of the year. I'm an illustration major and use Photoshop as my primary medium and have been using it for about 12 years.

I'm offering cleaning/editing/typesetting services. Depending on the need, I can also proofread, but I would prefer not to. I do not redraw massive parts (aside from the necessary bit for cleaning/editing purposes) like action SFXes or to compensate for really poor scans.
I work fairly quickly but I usually quote about 3 weeks worth of time for the average manga chapter pages so I can do a quality job while handling my school work.

I'm okay with working with any group for any manga (no hentai, yaoi or yuri since I cannot take nsfw work out of home) as long as the scans are good quality. If you need me to typeset I would like a package of the fonts that you want me to work with so I can keep it consistent. I won't do more than two chapters at a time since that would defeat the purpose of me being "freelance". Lastly, if you need me to do tests for you to check the quality of work I produce, I'm more than willing smile

Anyway! I apologize if I sounded arrogant laying down all these stipulations ^_^; but I hope I can be of help to a few at least. If this sounds good to anyone, please do not hesitate to message me here or email me at papermomonet@gmail.com

Thank you and have a good day!

PS: If you'd like to see my work or portfolio for my illustrations, I can also provide those smile
