I'm looking for this manga. I forgot what the name is but I remember reading it this year or last year hahaha. It was about a country girl moving to Tokyo. I remembered she made a group of friends and fell in love with a guy who's like a class prince/idol? But was rejected. Even though she was rejected, she still stands up for him when a group of girls talked bad about him (his facade I think) which resulted in him falling for her. Too late though. She fell in love with another guy (which was a good guy). So he tries to prevent the two of them from confessing to each other (not sure about this past though) ... Yup that's all I remember. I think the female lead's hair was in pigtails (I think, not so sure)

By any chance, could it be Hirunaka no Ryuusei? Some details from your description fit like girl from countryside, pigtails, MC between 2 guys, school setting, other things don't from what I remember. So I'm not sure.
