OK, I've seen way too much for the last several years where any story about people dealing with lust or sex are dealing with it in the aftermath, jumping headfirst and then realizing maybe not. I was wondering if there are any good stories about people who actually wish to NOT be sexually active, who fight earnestly against their lusts, preferably stories where at least for an extended period of time the individuals actually hold out and thus the focus is on controlling oneself and handling impulses. My real preference would be one where the people actually win against their desire and remain inactive until they're either married or at least completely committed and obviously going to marry. After all, it's dull seeing stories about people fighting a fight that everyone says can't be won, so it'd be nice to have some stories that remind you resistance isn't futile.

Only story I know of that fits this is Retort Pouch!. The premise is sort of dumb, using low birth rates to justify a school that encourages sex to the point that virginity is treated as something to be "disciplined". That said, the setting it creates is actually realistic for those who choose to remain virgins for any reason, as it is indeed looked down upon by more people than you'd think. It's also interesting since it shows people choosing to refuse for different reasons, such as a guy who believes it shouldn't be done ever before marriage and a girl who simply thinks you should only do it with "the one" but you don't have to wait for marriage (and her one is the after-marriage man so good luck with that). Note: I have not read all that much of Retort Pouch, like maybe five or six chapters, so I don't know if they actually manage to hold to their convictions...
