The effects that rape has on a person can ruin their lives and taint their future relationships to the point where they feel it's better if they were dead.
But at least those people have the chance to get help and overcome it, though of course it takes great amounts of strength.
With murder, you don't have that chance, so although they are both terrible, I voted for murder.

Im going to have to go with rape since if u get murdered then thats it u dont have to think about anything else with rape u going to think baout that for a long time and it can give u nightmares so there is really no escape from it

I'd say murder. People are often very strong, and suffering of all kinds exists in the world; rape victims are not the only ones in pain, and unlike some, they usually have a chance to move on in time. The end of one life is all you get, of both pain and happiness. I'd rather have suffering over nothingness.
I can only speak from a personal perspective, of course, having never been raped nor murdrered, and having never been involved in a situation like that.

It more depends on the circumstances. Murder can be personal, someone you know that wants you dead for whatever reason, or it could be a case of you just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Either way dead is dead. You don't have anything left to worry about.
Rape, likewise, isn't the same type of crime. There is the crime of power, where the rapist wants sex and isn't going to take 'no' for an answer. Whether it's a random stranger wanting a sick form of 'fun,' or someone you know pushing things too far. This is damaging and hurtful to the victim, but time will heal.
However, there is also rape that is a crime of control. The person doesn't just want sex, the person wants to break you. Sadistic sexual tortures and/or repeated forced encounters inflicted on you until you view the person as master or you act little more than as a pet. No amount of time will heal. Medication and therapy will give the victim some semblance of normalcy, but the person will never be fully healed.
It is rape for control that I view rape as the worse crime. Even the murdered victim's family will recover in time from their loved one being taken away. But a person that was broken will still affect the family decades after the crime.
