In my opinion, editing and scan quality has gotten much better. Translations in general have gotten better. However, proofreading remains a problem for many groups.

There has been some confusion recently over our policies for webcomics. In the series description, we ARE allowing a URL to the original webcomic (such as a link to a specific page on Naver). An example of this can be seen on Tower of God.

And as a reminder, we do not allow fan-made webcomics to be added as series to MangaUpdates. A fan-made series is something you try to publish yourself, without the aid of places like Naver or Daum. In general, we do not allow anything fan-made. All approved series must be backed by reputable publishers, including all OEL.

This week's poll from icassop is about the relative quality of scanlations over the years. I didn't want to specify an actual time frame because some of us have been around a lot longer and could have a more varied opinion depending on the time frame.
