We rarely have food polls, so why not use nowyat's suggestion? The list of 10 items is of course non-exhaustive, and I purposely didn't have options for "None of the above" or "Other" or "All of the above." Just choose what's available. And on a tangent, I haven't read Yakitate!! Japan in a long time... You know, I used to scanlate that.
But hey, if you have a favorite food that's not on the list, tell us in the forums!

Then again, not everyone watches TV dramas in general. Although I did start watching ABC's Once Upon a Time because my roommate (who never watches these things) recommended it
Edit: I just realized I should've put sashimi on that list. Too late...
The group Highlanders is closing due to lack of active staff.
First off, Happy New Year! Even though technically it isn't January 1st year for me or the official site time, might as well lump this post along with the new poll, right? Besides, it's the new year for a lot of the world by now...
This week's poll comes from the mind of our member zweeb. Going on with last week's poll on "drama," here's another one of a different kind. Have you watched any TV dramas based on manga/anime? They can be any of any origin (like I know Hana Yori Dango has Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean TV dramas).

Shi-Ki is closing its doors today.
You can read about it on their site: http://shi-ki.org/blog/?p=2105
This week's poll comes from the mind of SilverStripe. For those of you that read romance, how much drama do you like in it? Very subjective... I mean, how much is too much? Yes, I do realize that not everyone wants to read about romance.
This week's poll is more about the comments and examples than the results. So discuss the poll on our forums here:

The old generation has gone away. The new has taken its place.
PS: It's Christmas Eve! In case I forget to write a post for Christmas (which is possible), then Merry Christmas~
PSS: For all scanlation groups that wish to have MangaUpdates announce their release on Christmas day, please realize that we will not artificially change the date of your release. The time/day you report the release to us will be the day it will be announced here. With that said, the website is currently running on MST (Mountain Standard Time), but it's actually on PDT, as the servers run on Pacific time but they haven't adjusted for Daylight Savings...
I'm just going to link to an editorial by Adam Savage (of MythBuster fame). These laws are no good in their current form. I recommend that you find out for yourself what these laws are about, and why they are bad for the internet community. I believe the congressional hearings will start again on the 21st, and they will be streamed.
Click here for the article at Popular Mechanics
Edit: I also thought this Stanford Law Review article was informative:

Edit 2: I guess they're waiting till early January to continue the hearings? We'll see.
This week's poll is from our member icassop. IRC = Internet Relay Chat. In today's day and age of online readers, IRC has taken a huge hit in membership, so what's your position on IRC? (And personally, I don't really use it anymore.)

This week's poll comes from our member ChocoKun. Basically it comes down to how much do you pay attention to the art style. Of course, it's a little generalized (as there are manga's that have a manhwa art style), but hey, it's an interesting poll!
